Clean and Simple (CAS) Favorites for the Week Ending September 11, 2011
Good Morning! Welcome to the Clean and Simple (or CAS) Favorites of the Week thread! This is our place to celebrate the CAS style by honoring those projects from the week's gallery uploads that we found amazing!
Everyone is invited to participate in two ways. First, you can link to your CAS favorites. Second, you can leave some love in the form of comments for those projectst that others have favorited! The more people who participate, the more fun it is!
I'll get us started!
biggan, as usual, amazed me with her creativity, first with her winter bough made of staples (wow!), and then with her amazing Lovely Colors card
SanFransister made an amazing vellum flower card with lovely details, design, and patterned paper
stamperjen0 used lots of white space around an absolutely fabulous focal point of three layers beautifully executed on her Sending Some Love Your Way card
FubsyRuth's pinecone squares Christmas card is a festive use of a grid
stagccva used paper piecing with Basic Gray to make a gorgeously CAS, kraft-based hot-air balloon card; I also favorited her Be Fabulous card for its clean and stylish look
hobbydujour posted a warm and wonderful Silver Maple Leaf card that has lovely texture and dimension
MakCards posted a delightful one-layer CAS challenge card that is perfectly simple
k dunbrook made me laugh out loud with her too-cute Witch's Shoes Halloween card
resqbarbie created a fab and fun flip-flop card with a Hawaiian twist (and bling) that made me smile
I know I missed a lot in the gallery this week, so I can't wait to see what the rest of you favorited! Many thanks to ALL the people who take time to upload their creations--CAS and not CAS--to the SCS Gallery. It's an amazing place because of everyone's generosity!
Also, I hope you have a peaceful day of remembrance for the events of 9/11 and its aftermath. It wasn't just about America. As an American, I felt the unity and support the rest of the world showed us after that horrible day and am grateful.
wow!!!! Thanks so very much Susan, for the mention of my Witch's Shoes card.....
When I got that stamp I had no idea what I was going to do with it so the challenge was perfect!

Oh my gosh! You ladies have really made me feel special this morning. Thank you to San FranSister/ Patti for mentioning my Birthday Elements card. I stepped out on a limb w that one and got a surprising response from the gallery. Also, to my stamping friends Momof5sons/Marie who highlights my series of cards Garden Silhouettes and TrishG who has favorited Garden Silhouettes for Tony- many thanks! A bright light on a somber day for all of us. You are the best!
Thanks so much, Susan R. and Trish G. I really appreciate your putting my cards into your "Favorites of the Week" listings. It means a lot...I'm still working on improving my CAS style! : )
A BIG thank you to Karen D, who is so vigilant about letting "listees" know about their special cards.
Hugs, Sallie
Kiitos, Susan, for including my simple card in your CAS faves of the week. And thank you to Karen for letting me know! To be in the same post with Biggan, especially, is quite an honor.

Oh my goodness! What a fantastic surprise to be listed as a CAS favorite! Thank you so much, Trish!
I hadn't even planned to make that card. It had been a long day at work, and a friend was trying to get me in the mood to cyber-stamp with her. So I pulled out the new SU papers that I had just gotten the day before and had some fun playing around. Little did I know I'd end up on someone's faves list! :-)
Thank you to Susanbri for mentioning my group of cards Elegant Silhouettes. They were so fun to make and it really touches me to see them listed with so many talented stampers. Thanks, Susan!!
Thank you Marie (momof5sons) for choosing my "Meadow Grass" card as one of your CAS favorites this week. And thank you Susan (susanbri) for choosing my "Kind & Caring Thoughts" card as one of your CAS favorites this week. What a wonderful way to start the week!!
Thanks to Karen D for taking the time to let me know ...

Thank you Marie for mentioning my card this week! That baby card is 5 months overdue (if you can believe that), so I'm hoping the new grammy enjoys the card too. Hopefully, she'll overlook my huge snafu in not getting to it earlier. Hugs, Anne
