Question Choc chip vs. basic brown ink???

Are they the same color?

I have only a few inks and want a brown color but can't decide between the two. Which one should I get?

I think that the main difference is that the Basic Brown is waterproof...

yes and you can watercolor an image stamped with basic brown.... whereas you can watercolor *WITH* chocolate chip ;)

I love them both for their own purposes

Funny, I was just thinking about them today. I rarely use my Chocolate Chip anymore, and use my Basic Brown more than my Basic Black.

I have both, but my Choc Chip is craft ink so that is the difference I see. I haven't even opened my Basic Brown yet, I don't think. I need to do that. Prior to getting the Choc Chip though, I was using the distess Walnut ink from Jim Holtz and that seemed to work well. I haven't tried that distress ink on cards though, just scrap pages.
