I'm going to have to look for tomato paste in a tube, that would be so much better for cooking. My recipes usually only use a couple of tablespoons and then I have all that tomato paste left over! (Even though I buy the smallest can of it.)
But I use them all the time for things like stars, photo corners, words, glasses frames (as in spectacles), butterfly bodies (as on my recycle card)...

Like Joanne I usually remember to say paste rather than puree, but still most people don't usually know what I mean because you are more familiar with the cans.
I am just so tired with work at the moment that I'm afraid I don't have a lot of energy for other things :-(. And I used to add links here while on the bus travelling to work - I'm still cycling! I miss that time for catching up in the gallery.
ETA Darn it. I thought if I just posted direct links with no formatting they wouldn't go weird. CAS Favourites posts with just pasted un-formatted links looked okay last time I checked, so I thought I was on a safe bet. Those are actually 3 different cards.
I've been using the tubes for years - I especially love Mutti Verdurine. I'm off to look at the card.
Just had to look that one up as I was guessing from the name it might be more than just tomato (but my Italian is not up to much!). Sounds an interesting mix, I can imagine that being great in soups and stews.
Sabrina’s card with the birdie in glasses is a perfect example of one of the bonuses of the tube metal - it has some flexibility so you can bend elements to slightly different shapes or proportions to make them perfect for your project. Once it’s bent, it will hold its new shape.
Stacy -- thanks for the tip about Albertsons. My hubby watches the cooking shows and he's been urging me to look for the tubes, but we still have several cans of paste in the cupboard. So, while I'm in no hurry at this point, I'm glad to know where to find them when I do need it.
Also, Angie and Stacy -- thanks for all your work posting the challenges. It is very helpful and I have referred a couple people to this forum who said they have had trouble finding the challenge links. So Stacy, thanks for pitching in.
Sabrina -- your cards are wonderful and I just adore your crazy bird. Sorry work is so taxing right now. Hopefully this is just temporary for you and things will settle into a better pattern soon. Hugs.
the tubes are in a box so your eye may glance right over them next to all the cans? ( but, our store will shop for you and you can pick things up in the parking lot) I bought some once for hubs to mess with because, I wanted the tube and I think he pitched it in a metal recycle bin.
( plus, he cans tomatoes he grows so, I rarely buy them)

I looked at all three and they are fabulous! You are so talented! All three are attention grabbers and I l left comments.
Please don't worry about posting your links. You are cycling to work, I can only imagine how tired you are! I like to let everyone know that if they would like to post their links, I am good with it!

I took a second look at the glasses when I read on Sabrina's description that she formed them to fit! What a cool recycled item. I was at the store yesterday and I think we might carry paste in a tube. Sadly, I don't use paste very much because I thought maybe tomatoes were causing my husband some issues but if I rule that out, I am going to get myself a tube of paste!

Now here’s where my very limited knowledge of Dutch comes in - I think “martinaskaartjes” (her username) means “Martina’s Cards”. There are several Dutch players in a couple of challenges I sometimes take part in so I know the word for card and the word for “beautiful” (mooi) and other than that, I recognise a few words in the aircraft safety announcement because we often fly with KLM (at least we did when we could fly anywhere :rolleyes. She has a cool gallery!

I was at the store last night so decided to look. I found Cento tomato paste in the tube at our Winco grocery store...guess what came home with me? Thanks for the tip!
Congratulations Elizabeth! We hope you have a wonderful week as Featured Stamper!
Casing a card and playing in the challenge is the first way we can congratulate our Featured Stamper but if time doesn't allow we can leave a comment on the challenge post or some love in her gallery!
If you are wondering what to do with extra cards you may have created for various challenges, check out the link Cards For A Cause on the home page. Each month they feature a different organization that has requested cards for various reasons. May's mission is an organization that works to connect children with life threatening illness with the outside world by giving them portable electronics. Here's the link to May's mission: Mikey's Way
If the monthly mission does connect with you, they also have a sticky on the forum of ongoing missions for organizations who would like to receive cards all year long. It's a great way to use those cards you enjoyed making but just might not need.
very cool I see threads from time to time from people asking about that.
( I am cleaning) errr, I am playing with my toys... but, really I should be making samples so, the procraftination has kicked in and I decided to peek at today's challenges instead... lol
you know how sometimes the words of a challenge title will spark an odd thought? ( or even an idea ) funny true story I just peeked at the color challenge and the words did not register but my brain seen them as team logo colors together. ( like for sports )
OOh the watercolor tutorial being shared is for painting walls... ( this is something I struggle with, I color some cute thing and then its there on a white background) I find it much easier to ad-lib scenery backgrounds than say buildings of floors or walls what ever & I tend to leave it blank.
This week's Sketch is the kind that looks more like cards I am comfortable with ( long rectangles)
I notice that I tend to freeze when they have lots of circles or dots on them. ( no clue why) Probably goes back to that the image I colored is on a solid background ha ha.

Not going to try multiple links in one post, but I thought I'd mention that VSN have a hostess call-out for the summer "Fantasy Worlds" theme. Check out the VSN section in the challenges forum for more info. In books, Terry Pratchett's Discworld has to be my favourite fantasy world. But I'm not sure I could make a card based on it, or conceive of an accessible challenge!
