Chalk Inks???

I see that there are a few techs. that need chalk ink and I see that SU used to sell it last year, but not now. I was wondering what else can I use instead of them as I CAN NOT find them any where. I even have my sister looking in the USA for them. Perhaps someone out there knows where she can get them(she lives in Tuscan) or where I can inquire about them. Thanks loads. I love this site.

Wow...I never realized that they had stopped selling the chalk inks and had to pull out my catalog to verify that! I have seen some chalk inks at AC Moore but not at Michaels. The Angel Company started carrying a new line of chalk inks this year called Versa Magic Pads and they come in 36 full sized ink pads or, you can buy them in Dew Drops which is a 4 pack of the smaller size. They are getting rave reviews.

Hi, Thea! I'm in Canada, too!

Hmmm...I can't say I've seen Chalk ink pads; then again, I haven't really looked. I did check out the website of a friend who has a store in Lake Country, BC (north of Kelowna); she had posted on her blog @ the beginning of November that they had received the Colorbox Chalk Inks by Clearsnap. Maybe call her and see if she still has any in the store? (She also sells stuff online, but I didnd't see any chalk inks in stock). Here's her store info, if you care to try: Scrapbooking Swede (<---link).

Besides Clearsnap, Tsukineko (the makers of VersaMark) also have chalk ink pads; they're called VersaMagic (<--click!) and they also have the smaller sized ones, VersaMagic DewDrops (<--click!).

I checked two other online stores; they each only had 1 colour. One was charging $6.99 CDN, the other $8.99 CDN.

Best of luck!

You can find Chalk Fluid Inkpads by Colorbox (I think?) at Hobby Lobby, they are going to be 50% off this week.

Fluid chalk by far is my favorite. I haven't been able to get the others to work as well. Maybe it's just because I have used them the longest. I love chalk ink and almost use it on all projects (if I can). several on line stores carry the cats eyes, and HL carries the full sized, I like both.. JMO.

I LOVE the petal pad chalk ink from colorbox, you get a great selection of colors for a good price, they're about the size/shape of a catseye but they have have a neat little plastic handle under each one, it's really nice.

Default another vote

Another vote for the Colorbox Fluid Chalk inks, I have had some of my colors since they first came out years ago and the pads are still 'juicy', plus they have added wonderful colors to the lineup regularly. I love the solid coverage you can get with them. I have a Versamark chalk, and didn't really like it as much as my Colorbox, but I think it depends on the look you want, I like the clear, strong color of Colorbox.

Colorbox makes a wonderful Chalk ink pad!
The color's are rich and very easy to use.
You can find these in most Hobby Lobby's Michaels, Some Local Scrapbook stores.
You can find them online as well.

I like using my Charcoal Chalk ink for stamped images, It doesn't bleed when you watercolor.
I have never had to heat set mine either.
I have about 4 colorbox chalk ink full pads. And I love them!!
This place carries them:
