I sell on ebay and this is the best feature of the USPS! I have 1 pack each of the different sizes I use and the labels and its awesome! Many LESS trips to the actual PO to mail. And I can package it all up here at home and then drop it off at the PO outlet at the grocery store or call for a pick up
I think that's crazy that you can't recycle/reuse the box. If they already got one priority shipping out of it, they made their box fee back. Let ppl who want to recycle and reuse. What's the POs problem with recycling??!?
I'd turn it inside out and wrap it in brown SHIPPING PAPER. It's shipping paper, for the love of stamping! If they refused it, I'd unwrap the box, take my contents and leave them the box. They love the box so much, let them keep it.
If I had a lot of boxes I couldn't reuse, I would take my boxes to the post office and let THEM recycle/offer them to other ppl that would like to use the to send it priority mail.
I'm on fire. I better simmer down. I'm riled up over the color changes. HA!
girl, you ARE on fire ;)
i agree with your recycle comments - i'm sure there's just no way the PO can determine if the inside-out box is recycled, or new.
It makes perfect sense for the USPS to come down on that sort of thing (using Priority mailers inside-out).
The USPS gives the Priority mailing supplies for free. You can order it online on their site and your mail carrier will deliver it to you. In exchange, you are expected to pay for Priority shipping.
Most of the new PM supplies have USPS Priority Mail printed all over the inside. There's a lot of old stock floating around, though.
You can order any of the priority or flatrate boxes now for free on the website and labels. They even have the odd shaped ones on the website. The quantity to choose from are in the dropdown box right below each image. Just click on it and click on the quantity you want.
I know its been like this for several months now that you can get the smaller quantities and its nice so you not stuck with 25 boxes.
That's rather surprising considering that they do sell "tyvek" envelopes that are plain white...How would they really know? I tend to pick up lots of boxes around christmas time. They make great (free) gift boxes. LOL.
