Default Cardstock Ring - Help me!

I'm really in need of some help here... I've decided to make a cardstock ring for my hostesses as a hostess appreciation gift. My problem is, I've never made one before and don't know where to start. I plan on using a large circle punch to punch out circles and then hang them on a loose paper binder ring. I want to have all 48 SU! colors on the ring. Also, I'd like to print the color on the paper - I'm thinking I can run the paper through my printer before I punch it and then punch the circle over the printed part.

Any help would be appreciated!

Default cardstock ring - for sale on this website

In the event you decide not to make the ring yourself, there is a very reasonably-priced SU cardstock ring for sale ($22) on this website:

I have purchased the cardstock filing system and the service I received was very good - Kris Cobleigh was great to work with.

I just got the SU cardstock ring from Kris Cobleigh on Saturday. I absolutely love it! It is worth every penny. I highly recommend it. Kris is very friendly and wonderful to do business with.

Have you thought about cutting rectangles rather than punching circles? It's pretty easy to format columns in MS Word so you could print them easier. Just a thought. I got mine on ebay.

I made my ring using a large heart punch (probably 1 1/2 inches) and used the small return address labels to label the back of each piece and then put them onto the loose ring. I like the look better than just a circle or rectangle.

Default Thanks

Thanks to everyone who responded!

I'm taking a break from my cardstock ring making to write this, so I guess this means I found a way to make my ring. I'll share with you just in case you ever need to make one. (My time frame in needing these is almost non-existent and therefore I couldn't order them)

First, I found a circle punch that's 2.5 inches round (very large circle). Second, on MS Word, I was able to format my page, using columns, to print the cardstock names in the area I'll be punching. Because of the size of my punch, I can only get six out of an 8.5 x 11 sheet.

Last, I punch the circles out, use a regular circle hand-held punch to punch the circle they'll hand by and then put them on a 2 inch loose binder ring. All 48 colors do fit.

Not very fancy, but economical and fast.

Thanks again to everyone who responded!
