I had a question about this club. Has anyone subscribed to it before? Were the papers a nice quality? Did you like their themes and ideas?
The reason I'm asking is because I'm very new to cardmaking, but have found that I just love PTI, Gina K and a few other online retailers for their quality. But, since I'm new, I need some ideas under my belt, as well as some techniques. Do you think this may help or should I just keep visiting the forums to get ideas.
Thanks for any advice. These forums (and you designers) are giving me such great ideas already, but sometimes I like to have things "in my hands", so to speak, so I can get right to it instead of planning oodles of trips to Michaels........lol
I used to be subscribed to it but I quit it because the quality isn't anything worth getting. The paper is very thin and the clear stamps are not the best material. I think that they charge just a little much for the packages and I don't think I would recommend it to anyone. Especially someone who is starting out.
I just saw that they are sponsors to some of the things on this site, so I didn't think they would be that bad. I'll have to see, maybe I'll subscribe for just a few months (for the holidays) and then decide whether or not I should continue.
I honestly just posted the same thing not too long ago, like 3 months ago. I joined 2 different stamp of the month clubs. Just my opinion, I did not like the paper. Wouldn't even punch through a SU punch. It was new too... the paper just ripped. Alot of things I had to have, sander, ink pads, etc....
The directions were not clear ( and I've been stamping for years), and the embellishments were cheap. The one I received had silk flowers that were more like paper and ripped. The stamps were nice, but for $20/month, I'd rather purchase stamps and be creative than do that.
I cancelled my memberships after receiving both kits.
I decided to join The (Stamps) of Life club instead. I love all of her videos and I'll get my ideas that way. Looks like I can spend my money a bit better w/o getting a card kit monthly! ;-)
