Calling all scrappers
Okay scrapbookers, I have a ? for you. How do you do interactive scrapbook pages (such as the photo flip page in stampin' success, or a hidden journal type of thing where it gets flipped up to read the journaling) with page protectors. It seems that someone would have to take the whole page out to enjoy the interaction. I like some of those techniques, but can't figure out an easy way without taking out the whole page. Any tips?
Not sure if this is what you mean, but on my daughter's engagement party layout, I wanted to include all her photos, but there were too many to put on just 2 pages. I bought those little photo paks, and I can't remember what they are called, but they are glued together along the top and you can slip your photos in the cases. Then I made a cover for the whole thing and attached it to the page where I wanted it. I slipped it into the page protector and then all you do is carefully use your exacto knife and slit around 3 sides of it, so you can open the book without having to take the whole page out of the protector. I saw this on some scrapbooking site. If I can and I remember, I'll try to scan it tonight when I get home from work and post it.

Yeah, that sounds like what I'm thinking of. It has a cover & then the photos flip up. It seems like cutting around 3 sides would work well. Maybe I'll try that. This way people can view everything w/out taking the whole book apart.
I've made a little hidden pocket on a page b4, and put extra pics in the pocket. I cut the page protector on three sides (left the top connected). That worked fine for me.
The Quickitz line (by ProvoCraft?) makes little page protectors that are basically a flip book, and they have heavy-duty plastic tabs on the back that are the same size as the page protectors in the flip book. I've used these in my scrapbooks, and once I've filled the flip book up I just cut a slit through my page protector and the base piece of cardstock, and slip the tab of the flip book through the slit. I put adhesive on the tab so that it sticks to the back of the base piece of cardstock.

Yes, this is what I was talking about above, and they come in different sizes.
