Default Brocade Blue cs - different colors???

Okay, I am a new demonstrator, and I just got my first order with both 12x12 and 8.5x11 Brocade Blue cardstock. The colors are NOT the same. I double-checked the item numbers on the packages, and they are definitely the right numbers. It's the 8.5x11 that is off, but it doesn't match any other SU blue colors either. What do I do? If I send it back, I'll probably just get another two packages from the same dye-lot. I don't really want to demo it since it's not the "real" color. Not sure how to handle!!!

TIA
Patti

in a SS awhile back.. they said it wasnt meant to be an EXACT match.. it was to COMPLEMENT one another.. they talked about the different dye lots.. and because they are so big they are actually using a couple of places.. so the colors arent exact.. and that we should just use the term compliment one another.

I have encountered the same thing and had to learn to flow with it. I had to change my "our colors are a perfect match everytime."

I have found that with a few of my colors. I just will go with it and just don't use the 2 different colors on 1 card, or page that I am doing.

I noticed that the other day. I was putting my scraps into their color family bags and couldn't find the same color blue on my sampler. I finally figured it out, but I was really surprised that the colors were that 'off.' I expect a little variation, but the blue was totally different.

Oh well ... love SU anyway! LOL!

Default Thanks!

Thanks girls! I knew you could help. I'll just keep it and not use it on the same layout. They don't even really coordinate all that well anyway.....it's almost on the verge of a lighter Ballet Blue. Oh well!!

Have a great holiday!!!

I just opened a package of it that I got last month. Not only is it thicker than the other package I was finishing up, it 'crinkled' when I folded it for cards. What's with that? I've never had that happen before.
