I love it! Especially on dark paper. Every color bleaches differenty though. I've demo'd it a couple of times, and my customers enjoy the versatility of it. It's a great fall look. For anyone else that's used it, have you used bleach pens on anything?

I learned (from the wonderful technique junkies yahoo group...thank you Cynthia Tanguay if you read this...) a great way to do bleaching. Glue a piece of felt onto a margarine tub lid or any other plastic lid and pour bleach onto it. Then use it as a "stamp pad". Just rinse your stamp with water immediately after bleaching.
I did a few cards with the bleach pen. I attached one where I bleached a background freehand (no stamp). I did find that the bleach "spread" and it was such a thick line it was hard to control. You can put bleach in a water brush (aka aquapainter) with good results.
Ladies, thanks for sharing your samples. They're great! I love the idea of felt in a margarine lid. Must try that soon. Does anyone else get overwhelmed by all the cool ideas you learn from SCS stampers but never seem to have the time to do them? It would propably help if I logged off and got back to my stamping table....
I have stamped with bleach before. I just use an empty butter or cool whip container and fold a paper towel up and put it in the bottom. Then I use Clorox Advantage bleach (its thicker). I just pour enough to make the paper towel damp. Otherwise it gets a little drippy. I love the look of this!! It is so different!! Hope this helps. Good luck!
I tried the felt thing and didn't like it.
I put a couple of cotton balls in the bottom of a glass bowl and soak them with bleach.....I then dip my QTip in the bleach and touch that to my stamp. Here's an example...
I found that dipping it onto the felt left too much bleach on the stamp and I got the bleach equivalent of water spots!! I found the Qtip to be much easier to "maneuver" where I put the bleach!

I love bleaching too!! I like putting it in an aqua painter instead of using a stamp. It works best if you stamp the image with Versamark, and then emboss it. I then use the aqua painter to highlight certain areas. Check out Beate's gallery for some fun ideas we used recently at one of her workshops.
On thing I've noticed is that the quality of the cardstock matters A LOT!! I've tried bleaching the cheap paper you get at scrapbooking stores and it just turns grey :( . The SU cardstock works much better.

I have tried different bleach techniques and prefer the Clorox liquid gel - it's a thick bleach that makes stamping easier because it sticks to the stamps better. I put it on a paper towel folded into quarters (in half and then in half again) on a plate and it works great. In fact, I just made 16 cards today using the leaf in Botanicals. I also like to use the leaves in Lovely Leaves set- the look on dark paper or even More Mustard is really nice. Good luck!!!

I used stipple shells on creamy caramel. I put the stamp into the bleach. Then right over it I used versamark and chocolate chip. It looked three demensional.

I read this somewhere and have yet to try it but I think it's a great idea. Use a sanitary napkin, a thinner maxi pad and pour the bleach on it. Apparently it holds better than a paper towel. Another tip, bleach loses it's bleaching qualities after is sits out for any period of time.

I use bleach quite a bit and I really like it. I haven't done anything so fancy with the container, I just put paper towel in the bottom of a plastic tupperware container and use that. You can check out my gallery - I just did a couple more the other day.
I did my first card swap using the bleach technique for the background. I too used a panty liner to hold the bleach. And it worked great! Can't wait to pull out the pad a workshop and see the expressions on their faces! just make sure you work in a well ventilated area.
I did a project using bleach ( Fishy Friends- sand dollar) on Brocade Blue. I didn't realize that I actually had 2 different CS lots and the final bleached part was 2 different colors.
I think that just reminded me to keep track of the CS I'm using a little better....especially, on important jobs !
