It is really simple, I am not a demonstrator, but love to stamp.. You just fold a couple paper towels in quarter folds and put them in a small bowl or on a plate big enough for your stamps you are wanting to use, pour enough bleach on it, just to saturate it good, and dab your stamp in it like an ink pad. then directly to your cardstock! Let it dry and you will see the bleached look. Its very simple. Then just clean your stamps good, I use a small brush, dont scrub them hard just be sure to get the crevices. You can also clean them on your stamp n'Scrub. But just warm water and a brush works great.
I have never used a bleach pen, and I have read the gel ones Clorox makes are too goopy.
I have a pad in a gladware conatiner that I pour bleach on. I always use the same one, and I like the sealing of it so the fumes are not as bad. I found that when I dip my stamp directly into the bleach pad it gets too wet and the image is very fuzzy. Instead, I have a clothespin with a cottonball at the end. I dip the cottonball onto the pad, and then onto my stamp. It seems to cut back on the excess bleach on my stamp. I use the Stampin' Mist to clean it and my stamps are fine.
Sorry, I am so afraid to use the bleach I need very specific directions! Won't cleaning them in your Stampin Scrub bleach out the pad and then leave bleach in there to get on your other stamps?? I'm a little confused with the best way to do this...if you clean off with water and a brush, then what do you do to make sure all residue is off?? Just wipe with a towel? And then I've heard they need to sit in the mist to recondition them?
PS I've seen other threads about putting bleach into the new Aquabrush, does anyone know if it should be diluted to a 50/50 solution, or...
Thanks!!
That is my favorite method to use the bleach. I use the Ultra Clorox Advantage bleach (it is thicker) and pour it into the aqua brush and then brush in on the stamp. You just need a tiny bit. I get better coverage that way. T
I dab my stamp onto paper towels and rinse under the sink to clean them.
I saw the In Full Bloom card that uses the Aquapen with water and reinkers, but I'm assuming you can also use it to blend your watercolor pencils with good results?
