Default Aqua Painter Question

I first used the aqua painters at a workshop a couple months ago and they seemed to work perfectly. And just tonight I used my friends (mine STILL hasn't come ) and they seemed TOO watery. Is there a certain amount of water to use? When I used them the first time, we squeezed the lid of the ink pad to get that little pool of ink and it seemed to color great. I did the same tonight and I just couldn't get it to work right. I then tried it with the watercolor pencils and still a no go. What's the deal? I hope someone can figure it out.

Thanks Pam

I notice that too after I have squeezed the barrel for more water. I just use a paper towel and keep drying it off. Sometimes I pinch it between my fingers to get the excess water off. Eventually it will become dry enough that all the excess water won't make your project too watered down. HTH

I've found using a paper towel after I squeeze the water into the brush gets just enough of the excess water off. I just barely go over the paper towel with the brush. Hope this helps!! Good luck.
