i have been looking into different cutters and such. i seem to like them all from what i have read, and the wishblade seems to be something i may like however i do not know anyone that has one. if some one could tell me how they like theirs. i am torn between the bug and the wish blade. all reviews on them would be helpful. like how easy they are , etc. thanks;)
I have had my Wishblade for a few months now. I am very happy with it. It is more money up front, but you won't have to buy fonts, cartridges, etc. I paid $404 for mine this past spring and that included shipping.
I joined several wishblade groups through yahoo and I am on scrapshare.com and there are many wishbladers on that site. I have been given many, many files for the wishblade absolutely free(including most of the sizzix dies).
The wishblade has to be connected to your computer to work. It is not portable unless you have a laptop. There are free software programs that you can use to make connected titles, but I haven't made it that far yet. Supposedly it is easy to do. Paperthreads.com has tutorials if I am not mistaken.
I like that I can change the size to suit my needs. I am not restricted to one size. You can also cut any font on your computer. You just have to mark it as an outline or it won't cut.
Let me add that I found the wishblade to be easy to use. I haven't done anything except cut shapes and letters with it. Well, I did cut some treat boxes with it.
There are many free files for treat boxes and other items like that. You can also draw and design your own files. I haven't made it that far yet. I am somewhat computer literate in that I can usually figure stuff out, but I am in no way a computer whiz.
I have a Pazzles which is similair to the Wishblade. I like it...I am taking an online course to learn how to use it...the software is pretty intense. It is very easy to cut from files, to cut words and to weld those words together - which is very cool - but creating files from scratch is pretty complex. There are so many things that you can do.....it's a little overwhelming...I wanted something that didn't require cartridges but could be used with the computer instead. Good luck!
I have a CraftRobo which is the same as the Wishblade but no cartridges that you use with it. I love it. I spent some time yesterday making files for scalloped circles, ovals and squares so I would not have to invest in punches and I can make them any size I want. I cut some out and they are GREAT. The advantage is you don't buy anything else except paper...no dies, alphabets, nothing. In my case I had one scalloped oval punch and wanted the other size of that, plus two sizes of the other shapes...cost over $100. I now can cut any size of scalloped shape with the matching inside smooth shape.

I have been cutting the scalloped shapes with my wishbalde. What a money saver!
I just got my Wishblade in November and I LOVE it! As mentioned, it is expensive, but when you look at the cost of font sets for the other cutters vs. being able to cut any font from the Wishblade, it's well worth the price. They are backordered right now, with a new one coming out in March and it's pink! The newer software is supposed to let you do some of the things that some of the extra programs (like Inkscape or illustrator) let you do before, like auto-tracing bitmaps and welding words, so it will be worth the wait.

Personally I own a craft robo, but I am drooling over a klic-n-kut. They sell them at Paperthreads as well. they have up to a 15" cutter for a chunk of change. or they or coming out with the smaller version. I have heard that their software is phenomenal as well.
Like I said I am drooling!.
Enjoy!
