This has been going on for nearly two weeks. Almost every time I try to access the gallery I get a message that says the database cannot be found. I saw a mention of this about a week ago, but it disappeared. I just want to know if I am the only one who continues to get this message---and if we know WHY?
I'm certain Davin is on it, because I know that he takes such good care of us all and tries to keep the board humming. Just lately it's been kinda off key... ;)
have y'all tried using a different browser?? I haven't had this problem at ALL but I use Mozilla's Firefox. It's a free download, and it's a much more stable browser than Internet Explorer. Just a thought!

I use Safari for internet access. Just last night I got the "cannot access the database" page for about a 30 to 45 minutes. Then it was okay. Now it's wonky again. I figure that I'll just play around in the forums for awhile and it will be better soon.
.......going now to look at the Suggestions and Questions forum........
No luck over here. I uploaded 4 cards earlier (about 4 hours ago) and have not been able to browse through and comment on any cards since then - I sure hope my cards didn't blow up the database... :rolleyes:
I'm sure they are working on it so I will be patient.
I'm having problems too. Sometimes it just seems to keep trying to load and never gets anywhere, other times I get 'Photo does not exist.' Sometimes if I hit refresh it will come up.

Thanks for the suggestion, Molly! I just downloaded Mozilla's Firefox (in record time) and I can access the gallery now, whereas, two minutes ago in Internet Explorer, I couldn't. I had only been having trouble for the past half hour though. Even with Firefox, it's still pretty slow but at least I can get in. Anyway, I was able to import all my Bookmarks and cookies and passwords. Pretty darn cool.
Well I got one message that said it couldn't connect to database but I was able to refresh the page. One question, though. With Firefox, it seems I can't use quotation marks when I comment? How do I fix that? It surrounds the word with "e instead of quotation marks. :confused:
I just downloaded firefox and it is now smokin'. Of course, maybe the site is just back to working again, but this browser seems to be a bit faster than explorer.
Yup! The gallery hasn't been fun for quite a while! It's very frustrating when you upload a card that you really like and the gallery goes down for hours! I stamp alone, so I need my validation! LOL!!

I use Firefox and had problems last night too...but whipped through the gallery without incident this morning. Guess these folks got things all worked out!! Thanks to the SCS staff for taking good care of us!! They must know we need our daily "fix" of inspiration ;)
Anyone else STILL having trouble with gallery?
