Hello,
My DH was able to come home from the hospital today. He is doing fine but going to need lots of rest and TLC. The nurse said he is progressing faster then most heart patients so we are hoping for a speedy recovery. No matter what he is to stay home for the next 6 weeks.
Thank you Laura for the cute, cute card! I love the image of the cat in the wading pool. Who makes that stamp? I have to have it! LOL! Watch your mailbox for a return card soon!
Hugs,
Paige
I am really sorry, I don't seem to have a pm from you wanting the update, I went ahead and pm'd you the list.
(Please) everyone that wants the update PM me with the last person on your list and I will PM you the update. If you e-mail me instead of PMing me I get a little confussed, so please PM me. and if I don't get right back to you pm me again, I am having so many ladies wanting to join and having to write down their info on the list and then try to remember to send updates.
Lana
No problem Sweetie... I know you are very busy... it probably got lost in the shuffle.... I just added her to the list I had and then I received the one you sent. Thanks!
God bless

Dolores, great to hear that hubby is home and improving... I know he will need lots of rest because my brother just went through the same thing... it took him a while to recoup... but he is doing great now....! Just tell hubby to hang in there and do what the doc orders and soon he will be up and running!!
God bless

So glad you liked it Paige. That stamp is from Cat's Pajamas. But beware, they have a LOT of cute stamps!
Hey you guys I got some great cards in the mail both yesterday and today from Paige and from Vronica...I am a littel confused though, you guys are talking about postage and I mailed Vronica a card and completely forgot about it going to the Netherlands and just put a regular 41 cent stamp on it and in her card she stated that she had gotten mine so....what happened? How come mine went with only 41 cent stamp and you guys it costs more? I am rather confused but will go to the post office next time and ask I guess and just double check.. But anyways they were both beautiful cards and it makes me want to stamp some more now...so talk again soon.

Dolores,
glad to here DH is home!! I was thinking since he has to stay home for 6 weeks--maybe you can get him addicted to stamping too LOL!!
You guys crack me up:p . And yes I did already suggest that to him. He said no thanks, but after being home for 6-8 weeks, he might change his mind;) . Have tons of laundry to do tomorrow as well as help DH fill out short term disability forms for work. Hope to start cards on Thursday or Friday.
I have been catching up on my thank yous for the great cards received while I was out of town. I received cards from Debi, Tara, Marilyn, Nicky, and Pamela, as well as many others. I have sent private messages to everyone else but was unsure of your SCS names.
All of the cards are beautiful & will be Ooohed and Aaahed over at my stamp club Thursday night. I just love when I get to bring show & tell with me.
Thanks again for all the happy mail! It certainly put a big smile on my face when I saw all of the envelopes waiting for me.

P.S. Dolores, glad hubby is home. After he is couped up for a couple of weeks, stamping may look great to him.
Dolores, great news, so glad everything went so good and your HB got to come home. Maybe since you hubby don't think he'd like stamping, he could lick and stamp your envelopes for you !!!!!!
Don't worry about getting some card out, just take some time and rest up, we'll all understand.
I forgot to tell everyone that wants an update, I have 2 ladies I need to add as soon as I get the address and then I'll get it sent to you. Should be tomorrow or Thur.
dolores don't worry about cards--we all completely understand you have had a lot on your mind these past few weeks.
Have a fun time filling out all those forms--UGH!!!! might as well send them some DNA and a drop of blood too--since that is about the only thing they don't ask for. LOL!!!!
My goodness how long is that list now I printed it off yesterday and got 6 pages and now I see some more names added today ....cant believe its got so popular ...some one did come up with a great idea..............
Dolores,
I am so glad that your DH is home and doing great according to the Dr. report. It looks like God has answered our prayers.
Molly,
When you sent the card at .41 when Veronica recieved it she porbably had to pay the .49 cent difference. because it is .90 to mail a letter overseas.

Pen Pals (cards) - International?
Hi
I am very new on here having only worked out how to post messages today. Have been reading about this great penpal idea of sending cards once a month to a penpal or several.
Wondering if there is anyone out there who might be interested in sending to an international pal? I have several penpals in Australia but they are penfriends and don't stamp, we got to know each other through a gardening magazine list (my garden being another fave place to spend a little time).
I am a SU demo in Australia (since Oct 06) and would love to send to someone who lives somewhere else if anyone is willing. I have been stamping about 5 years and have been a member here for maybe around a year.
I'm glad you liked it. It's been so long I have forgotten where I got these. They were free graphics I got off the internet. Here is a site that kind of looks like where I might have gotten them.
Hey Laura in CT,
Thanks so much for the sweet card. I'll get one sent to you tomorrow. This is a lot of fun. And thanks for the nice letter inside too!
Michelle

Wow Molly, sure hope it cools off before the rally, I'll be going to Rapid City,SD for 2 weeks the 3rd of Aug to visit my family and I suppose I'll have to go to the rally while I'm there. Not like I've never seen it before, beings I was born and raised in Rapid 59 years ago!!!!!!!
I have been sending updates to those that have pm me. Is thr anyone else that wants updates. Just pm me if you do.
Not likely Kota48, as you know it is usually HOT in Rapid, I think they were suppose to be 100-110 through the weekend and no end in sight.......but at least west river there isn't the humidity that we get east river. I really shouldn't complain I do have central air, and I know that there are people who don't. I hope they are all staying cool :0 Have a great weekend and stay cool wherever you are

I am slowly getting through the list... Sorry VERONICA for the postage issue, I will get it right next time Hope you all are having a great day..It is suppose to be a HOT one here in South Dakota today.....almost 100 and humid :0 Yippee....have a great weekend all
Hi Molly,
Growing up we always went to visit my Uncle in Presho South Dakota. I remember those hot summers, driving without a/c in the car. My Uncle own the other gas station there. Of course we always stopped by Wall drugs on our trip.
For everyone: MY DH is doing so great. Sticking to his new diet, walking short distances every day. Still not interested in stamping but this is only week one. By week 6, I may be able to convert him.
Beverly and Tara, thanks so much for the lovely cards. It was such a nice treat to receive them. Feel bad I wasn't able to get started on mine as planned. I was able to make a couple of thank you cards for our neighbors who brought us food when my husband was in the hospital. Hope to start the pen pal cards next week if all goes well.
Hey I recvd lovely cards from Lana, Crystal,Tammy & Carrie...theyare simply gorgeous..!!
Thanx a ton for such lovely cards...
U made my day...I really wasnt expecting the cards...coz since itz overseas..pple generally avoid it...
Thanx a ton again..I loved reading letters..Hope u all receive my cards this weeknd..Ive posted it last weeknd...it takes hell lot of time in reaching..!!
I was just getting my postage stamps out to put on my cards to get in the mail--and I realized I put reg stamps on the last batch I sent out. I can't remember if any were oversea--I hope not. If so please let me know and I will send extra postage in my next card to make up for it. Next time I send cards I will do it without the help of my DS's--I think they got my mind a little frazzled that day, wanting to put the cool stickers(postage stamps) everywhere--ugh. Gotta love them though!!!
Have a great weekend
I haven't checked this thread at all since I got the first pen pal list but I have gotten the updates, thank you! Just wanted to say that I've received some beautiful cards and letters from many of the ladies on the list. It's so fun! I haven't written back to as many as I should-still working on it. I'm recovering from hip replacement surgery and so I write when I can. I've got 2more cards going out today.
I have been gone on vacation...just got back today to an overwhelming stack of lovely cards!
Please know that I will answer each one personally...but it may take a week or two for me to get to all of them! In the meantime, thank you so much to each and every one of you for far outnumbering the bills!
I received two fabulous cards today!
Thank you to Lana (Kota4 I loved the soft gentle feeling of your card. The simple color combo was really strinking! The bigger brads in the flower centers were awesome too! My birthday is March 22, 1954
Thank you to Doreen for the grasshopper card! I loved the color combo. Me thinks you might have used some PaperTrey stamps on your oval? Cool!
Lynd is in southwestern MN, near the SD border. Sorry I can't answer your question on the card I sent you. At the beginning of summer I just sat and made a ton of birthday cards and I did not write down specifically which one I sent you. I'll be better next time!
Thank you ladies for the cards and letters about yourselves - so much fun to read and find connections with one another!
Thanks for the update on your HD,so glad he is doing really good. Tell him to keep up the good work.
When you stopped an Wall did you get there famous donuts? I can't count the times we would drive to Wall just for them. Sure wished I had one now. LOL
Lana
It has been at least 20 years since I have been there. I don't remember doughnuts but do they still have the singing cowboys(robots)? I remember being a little girl and getting a big kick out of them.
Becca I hope you recover quickly from you hip surgery. How long do you have to wait for full recovery?
Laura I got your card today, I love the pattern and colors you chose. I had a burst of energy and made 25 cards today. Keeping it simple this time and my time will be limited for awhile. It helped me relax and unwind a bit:cool: Hope to get them addressed and mailed by Tuesday.
