The ones I had planned or the ones I will actually get done??HA!

I am having a ton of people for Easter and have treat bags planned. For those I am making toppers for them of course with stamps ;) then I will staple them onto some kind of bags. I *think* I will use some kraft paper I have that was used as packing filler for something either I or my husband bought. It is a nice LARGE sheet and there is plenty to make some medium size treat bags. I also will be making a few various other things..but that is probably as far as it will go. LOL..I would love some other ideas too though..I am fresh out at this point.

This carrot by jillastamps is a cute twist on an older idea. I've seen sour cream containers before, but not done as carrots. Easter Carrot Twist Box by jillastamps - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers

I made cute cards with my MS fringe scissors. I cut 1 inch wide cs into grass and then hid eggs in the grass.

You can see it on on my blog here.

Wal-Mart has paper biodegradable grass for filling Easter baskets . . .

Here's my sour-cream-container carrot boxes. I made the grass out of green ribbon. It was super easy and I love the way it turned out. I'm working on treat bags today with Glassine envelopes.

There's one in the Resources section here: Sour Cream Container Project Tutorial by Beate Johns

It looks like the carrot is done with a rectangle with slightly different dimensions so that it turns out longer.

Beate's tutorial calls for a 4.25 x 5.5" piece of cardstock. That's convenient for a regular 8.5 x 11" sheet.

If you were using 12 x 12" paper, then the pieces could be 4 x 6" each. That would make them thinner and longer, and you'd get six per sheet without any waste. I haven't actually tried it, but it seems like it might work.

I just put a few Easter cards in my gallery. Here are my 2 favorites:

Easter Dove by craftdoc - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
There's a lot of cute Easter punch art. You can probably do a gallery search.

This blog post gives dimensions for two sizes of carrots, either 5 x 6" or 4 x 5" rather than the dimensions in my prior reply. {Crafting Life} Happy Easter!

And here's another Easter variation on sour cream containers: Paper candy holders & Ornaments - MarthaStewart.com

Default Sour Cream containers

You can use a toilet paper roll for these as well. Use red sticky tape on one end and them crimp. Cover with designer paper first. You can then staple the other end once it is filled, perhaps with colored staples.

If you have SU petal cone die, that would make a cute carrot shape.

Default Easter Ideas

it is (2) 3-4 " scalloped squares that form a pouch. you score at 1 in from one edge on each piece. gluing at the folds, it is held together by the "ribbon" band. the ribbon is a 2x12 inch strip of paper and you use the word window punch at the top of each square to make the slot for the ribbon. a small piece of velcro up toward the opening to hold it closed. the scalloped square is from SU but a Spellbinders label would do the same in a square configuration. here is a photo of it flat.
