Zipped through Target's dollar spot yesterday to scoop up some little vellum envies and cute closepin embellishments. This is the first time my Target has had some of the stuff you guys talk about. Plus-- I found the neatest standing card/photo holder-- for a dollar! It has 5 slots. I'm using it to keep my designed sample in front of me, up off the mess I affectionately call my craft area, while making cards from the sample. How cool is that!
Very cool!!! I got the same thing for just the same reason!!! Mine also had wire hearts and flowers the other day! Three in a pack for $1! They are triple the price for the same thing at Mikes! I have to stay away from there though!
Ok, nuts, now I need to go back and spend more on the dollar spot!
I just bought the photo holders to display my cards but now I will need more for using as you stated above. This way people can see the cards they are making instead of having to pick them up, pass them around and possibly ruin it. In fact, I will probably make 2 samples so I can put them back to back and the stand won't have to be turned.
I agree, now I have to go back there and spend more money, I just purchased all of the stick on letters they had to start making my dd's first scraspbook.

I wonder if it is a regional thing. My Target never has good stuff when others say theirs do...but last week I found the same great stuff, plus some really cool tiny epoxy retro-type squares and alphas. I must have spent 15 in the dollar ailse -- but it would have cost me 3 or 4 times that at a hobby store! Yeah Target!
It must be very regional. I always read these "Target find" messages, and the closest one to me (1.5 hrs away) has never had any of the goodies you all mention.
I wish it would be the same everywhere Ü

You guys are making me want to make a trip to Target just for the $1 spot. I was there Sunday and got the mini punches! But listening to all of the great finds I want to go back. Do I dare, Hubby will scream! Maybe if I just buy a couple of things he won't notice, yeah right.
Ok. I've got a rather dumb question. Where is the $1 spot in Target? Is it in the craft area or is it the thing right inside the front doors?
JoAnn
It should be right inside the front doors...you can't miss it, it's where you see the large crowd of people...in mine anyway!!! Everyone seems to be fighting for their chance at the bins!
In my case, there is no one in that section, but yes it is inside the door. The last time I was there it was just ridiculus. All it was was barretts, pony tail holders, that type of thing and then candy bars and coloring books. I was so disappointed after reading all the cool stuff you all find.

I just experienced the Target $1 spot for the first time yesterday--WOW! They had alot of cool stuff.......all the stuff that has been mentioned and more. I was good and didn't buy anything! Well, not from the $1 spot.........
Wed I bought 10 metal pastel colored buckets that I am embossing on for my open house (that no one appears to be coming to ) I also have been picking up plastic toddler bowls and plates for my son and also allthe upcoming baby showers I need presents for.
