Ladies I'm glad I found this thread today! As of today I am no longer bow challenged I have learnt the secret of Bow Easy!! Here is my first ever perfect bow- Cuts, Crops and Creativity!: Trifold Shutter Card
This isn't a new tip but I'll bring it up anyways. I didn't want to stick the bow separately to the ribbon in on the card because I was afraid it might fall off. So use Becca Feeken's technique of passing a longer piece of ribbon (the one that goes around the card) through the knot on the bow. That way it looks like it is all a single piece of ribbon.
Does anyone know of any tutorial or video showing left-handed crafters how to use the Bow-Easy? I'm seriously incompetent when it comes to trying to reverse stuff like this, so none of the material I've come across is easily useable, no matter how much I vary my search terms in Google. Every time I spend an hour or so struggling to re-teach myself, it's such an unpleasant experience that I refuse to do it again for such a long time that, yep, I've forgotten how to do it and have to start the whole unpleasant experience all over again.
I love the bows, and I'd like to have a friendly relationship with this handy little device – please say you can help!

This one the person is filming with the camera in front of her and I cannot follow what she is doing since I'm right handed. It looks backwards to me, if that makes sense. I had to see a video with the person working with the camera behind them to "get it". HTH

I'm about to turn 33 and the part I hate most about wrapping gifts or anything else that requires ribbon is the bow part. I had planned on never doing a bow on a card for that reason. I plan on trying some of these tutorials to see if I can get it down.

I have a slug of bow tuts on my blog (scroll down labels to Bows). The first one in that list (Assorted) has a video with three techniques...great place to start!
No special tools needed here, I just fiddle with the bow until I like it. I used to have so much trouble with them, but I practiced and came up with a technique that works for me. Many people have asked about the bows I make so I made a tutorial a while ago: Scrapmaster's Paradise: How to tie the PERFECT Bow Hope that helps someone!
I still can not tie a bow...I just ordered Becca's peg bow maker with video.
I just received mine in the mail yesterday and I love it! The bows come out beautiful. You will love yours. The DVD is excellent! She shows how to make six different bows:
Single Bow
Double Bow
Figure 8 Bow
Tail Up - Tail Down Bow
Double Tailed Bow
and my favorite Tiered Double Tail Bow!
