I used my xyron to make a gluber. It was not the best solution but it held enough for me to roll my ribbon or fabric and kept it in place until I hot glued it down. I just ran a sheet of white card stock through and cut to the desired shape and size. I also used arylic to run through the xyron, just in case you want a clear shape under your rolled flower.
Glubers will, I expect, hold much better and without hot glue plus you do not have to cut to size/shape.
I enjoyed the video. I wonder if you could just punch out cardstock circles (or use Big Shot dies or circle cutter) and then run rows of SNAIL (monoadhesive) or sticky strip across it.
Craftdoc, I bet you could. I also bet that the glubers, when they come out, will be super sticky, at least I would think they would have to be to hold twisted ribbon or fabric.
I made the rolled ribbon flower on this post Something You Occasions: PTI Colour challenge
With the big sheet of scor tape and a circle nestie
It was very sticky, and if my ribbon touched another part of the tape it kept lifting and eventually curled onto itself
So next time I would adhere the bottom to a cardstock circle first.

Snail won't hold it, but sticky strip would. You can also just die cut circles of the sheets of red line tape for the same effect and less work. Or, trace them and cut them out. Or, use a circle cutter...the possibilities are endless with the sheets. Plus, you could make any sizes you wanted that way.

Great tutorial ... I too can't wait to get my hands on "glubers". I'm going to start practicing w/alternatives & if anything works well, I'll let you all know!
Thanks for the link. What fun! I sew and have lots of fabric scraps to play with. These remind me a little of the fabric Yo Yo's but not so tedious to make.

Sticky should surely hold but more work than necessary removing the backing strip by strip....3m Scotch double sided tape applied to any shape card stock is simpler and more economical....you could get 3 rolls of scotch double sided for the cost of 1 sticky strip.
