Advertising on Handmade Gifts??
So, if I attach a label that has my name and website address to the back of a card (or set of cards) that I'm giving as a gift, is that totally tacky??
Please be honest!!!
I'm kinda thinking it is. I am making a little portfolio too, so I could just add it to the back of that.

Oh, and the website is not my SU Demo site (since I am not one), but the site I have a few samples of my work...hoping if someone sees it, maybe I'll get a request to make some.

Art is intended to provoke an emotion from a total stranger. If youve succeeded in this, consider yourself an artist. Paper Shanks Blog. Love me or hate me, you are still talking about me
I say no, it's not tacky---but it depends on who the gifts are for KWIM. If they are to family---they already know that you stamp, but to coworkers and such, I say go for it.
I submitted some cards for a craft fair at work. I did not use the angel stamp as normal because none of the materials were stampin' up. (I have a personalized angel stamp.) The ladies running the show wanted me to sign the back. Their idea was that any handmade craft was like a painting. It's not complete without the signature.

Thanks ladies! I compromised and used the angel stamp and signed my name to the back of each card. The label (clear and unobtrusive) with my website address was placed on the back of the portfolio.

I don't think it would be tacky at all so long as it's not overpowering. lol! even though I know they're hand made I often look on the back of cards that people give me. it just seems like there should be something there to look at anyway KWIM?
and like a previous poster said Hallmark puts stuff all over the back of their cards! why can't we?
