Default adopt a soldier

I just got this through an email from a stamp site I belong to. You can adopt a soldier who would otherwise not get mail or family support. I think it's a great idea and just signed up.

how long does it take to hear back from them with your soldier's name?

I think this a great thing for my kids to get involved in. when we first went back over there, I wanted the kids to start sending mail to soldiers, but we didn't have any names, and they wouldn't let us send mail to "any soldier" anymore like we used to do.

What a great organization.

When my aunt's first husband was in Iraq, he said they loved getting koolaid packets because the water was just not good. Now, they make those great single serving size koolaid packets, so don't leave those off your lists, Ladies!

thanks for the link!!

Two Christmases ago we got an email from one of the soldiers that had gotten one of our cards. What a great feeling that gave my family! It was such a small thing for us to do, but to see that it really made a difference to somebody made it so special.
