I have been asked to make a card for a 16 yr old boy who loves bicycles and I do not know where to start. I do not have a bicycle stamp and I have looked at my local LSS for something related to a bicycle and could not come up with anything. Michaels has a 3D sticker at a cost of $6.99 (Cndn), but, I only charge $3. for my cards. Does anyone have any suggestions for a card as well as a birthday verse for inside??? I only have one day left to make the card.
Oh, shoot. If it weren't such a short time frame I could help you out. I've got an old SU set called Life Cycles that has some neat bicycles, and I could have stamped you a couple of images and sent them.
I guess my other thought would be to look for a digital image that you'll have immediately. There's a whole list of digital image companies in one of these forums, but someone here might know of one off the top of their heads. Good luck!
it is cute, but she's looking for a 16 yo boy, and that might not fit the bill for that, you know?
I think if you find a solid clip art bike like he rides, then use a spatter stamp or blotch stamp or something in colors behind it, plus a birthday sentiment stamp and you'd get an age/gender appropriate card pretty easily and quickly.
Call Marchants Paper Memories in Kingston, Ontari (the other side of Toronto) she had the new bicycle stamp from Hero Arts the last time I was in. Google Marchant's Kingston and she should come up. It is also called paper memories. She will mail things out and is super fast and really nice. HTH
Thank you for everyone's help...it was greatly appreciated. I decided to go with the clip art suggestion and was able to come up with this spinner card. The bicycle rider attached to the tire spin around. The lady purchasing the card was very happy with it.
