OK, pif-ers! on January 22nd I will be celebrating 70- yes, 70 years old (I don't feel like it!) This week's Teapot Tuesday challenge is for my wish to receive 70 cards for my birthday. Here's a link to the thread: MMTPT754 - January 3, 2023 - Big and / or Bold Birthday by Shoe Girl at Splitcoaststampers
Much appreciation in advance if you participate (and thank you gifts, too!)
I followed the thread and learned you are a girl who really knows what she likes and wants! Lol!
I get it, though -- no pressure.
I have been down in the dumps lately. So I haven't been making cards or even posting.
I understand most people feel that way in January. The anti-climax of a manic holiday season. It happens to me every January, but it will pass. Sometimes we just need to stop and read, sleep, stare off into the horizon and let our batteries recharge. Take care of yourself.
Hope you're all staying well, because there seems to be a lot of illness going around. I lost a very good online friend just today, to complications from flu and still can't believe it.
Karen
So sorry about your friend. When someone in our circle dies unexpectedly, it does take a while to wrap our heads around it. God bless her family, you, and everyone else who loved her.

I read yesterday on her blog (her son posted it) that Janis of Her Peaceful Garden had passed. I was so shocked. I knew she had health or medical problems, but didn't know what they were. I will miss her so much! She was such a kind and friendly person. I enjoyed her posts and seeing her cards, and she had the Cat Lover's Blog hops, so she was a cat lover also!
I think a lot of younger people do not understand how dangerous the flu can be. I had a Great Aunt who lost a young daughter to the flu a long time ago.
So many people I know are having such a difficult time right now. Saying prayers!

And willing to resort to bribery! I just sent out the first batch of thank you gifts. I invested in a pretty big postage stamp order last month in preparation. I also plan on posting goodies here to celebrate my birthday.

Karen - my condolences on your loss!! Seems like every time I log in to Facebook, someone else has passed away - either a celebrity or someone I went to school with in Maryland. I’m starting to think cancer is contagious! Well, not really, but it sure does seem like it’s spreading fast.
Thanks Pam,
I guess it comes with the territory as we age. My online friend and I have been close for over 11 years and bonded over a lot of similar family issues so it was such a shock. Her passing was unexpected and sudden, so even more so.
Hope you're doing well and staying healthy.
Karen
I have been absent for a bit. I am trying to get myself adjusted in the new year. Christmas decor has been taken down and put away. Set up 2023 budget and cleaning out unneeded items. Made a few trips to the thrift store donation center. It feels good to clear it out. Now I hope to get back to making cards.
My heartfelt sympathies to those who have lost loved ones. It seems that is happening much more these days.
As I continue my quest to clean and re-organize my craft room, I will post items to pass on.
It is snowing today. I hope everyone stays warm, dry and well.

Hello Linda!
Hello Arlene! I hope you are staying warm and dry as well! Still trying to get the house in order here. Endless job it seems!
Janis has been on my mind. I recieved just last week the prize I won on the Cat Lover's Hop, along with some extra stuff I ordered. And I came across an email she had sent in the past also. She was so sweet! I really enjoyed seeing her posts on her blog. She was so nice to everybody!
Miss Ike also (Sue from Ike's Art). She was so nice and so talented. The ones we have lost are going to leave a void in our crafty community. I had just started watching C.P.R. (Craft, Pray, Repeat) on Youtube when she passed from Covid. I remember her daughter had been really sick also; I hope she made it alright. This was quite some time ago.
I guess all I can do is Pray about it and try to take care of myself and those around me. I keep all of you in my prayers!
Pat, I'm sorry I haven't gotten your card in the mail yet. I will try to get to that. I also wanted to share something on here. Hopefully, I can get to that soon also!
Be safe everybody and know that you are cared about!!!

I guess we all are past the baby phase, because these are still unclaimed. If no one wants any of it, I will give to Goodwill.

Just finished your card Pat, and need to find your address again. Hope you get a TON of cards!
Karen
P/S: found your address and it will go out on Tuesday, since Monday is a post office holiday.
I have these to offer if anyone is interested. The stamps are PIFs. Passing them on, so someone else can use them too. The Fall sayings one is attached to a plastic piece. I tried my best to remove the glue from it, so I could put repositionable glue on it, but could not do it. Even GooGone wouldn't work, so I just attached it to a piece of plastic. When I went to use it, I would use my ATG with regular tape to attach it to my Misti door, so I could stamp with it. I would suggest anyone that wants it have a stamp positioner, because it took me several tries to get a good image. Then after I stamped, the regular ATG tape was easily removed by rolling it off with my finger. I can only mail in the U.S.

Would anyone be willing to bill me for the postage via PayPal for any of these offerings in this forum—even before you send it? I'm happy to pay, and I wouldn't be likely to get anything you can't put in an envelope, really. Just asking 😊

Here is the new Pay It Forward Thread for 2023.
Here are the rules, as they have always been in the past. If you see something you like, you can claim it based on the guidelines of the person offering the item(s) (usually first come-first serve basis). Some time in the future, it is expected that you will offer something to Pay-It-Forward. You don't have to wait until you offer something before you claim something else, but we try not to do that too much, so that everyone gets a chance. The person sending the PIF pays the shipping. I usually post where I am willing to ship, to cut down on confusion.
As you can see, the sender pays the postage. The above is a copy of the first post in the thread.
Thanks, I read all that before I subscribed, but just asking if anyone would be willing to do PayPal to offset the international postage. Sorry to hear there's no grace about the "rules", lol! Never mind 😊
For anyone interested in the fall phrases stamp that has been offered by hoptownracer1, it can easily be cut apart to create multiple stamps. Just sharing what I did with mine to make it more usable for me.

Thanks for the tip! I actually have that stamp and knowing it can be cut apart will make it MUCH easier to use on cards!

Got the Francine (maid) stamp. I was perplexed by the thickness of the envelope because I'd been getting birthday cards, and your envelope was fat! She is absolutely adorable, I am looking forward to using her!

I'm glad to hear that the package arrived safely. Always iffy with thick envelopes.
