Default faux linen technique

Can someone tell me how to do the faux linen? I have seen it used on several cards and really like it. Thanks, Sandy

You use glossy paper and sandpaper or sanding blocks for this.

On the glossy paper sand in one direction (horizontally), then sand in the complete opposite direction (vertically). Sponge or brayer ink over the glossy paper. The ink will be darker in the grooves that you have sanded. Buff with a tissue. Stamp your image and color it if desired. You can sand a bit again if you want to distress your image a bit more. FInish your card or scrapbook page.

It's pretty easy to do! HTH!!

I couldn't find the directions.. ok, I thought I knew it all so went ahead and tryed without looking at the directions.. and sanded the card in the 2 direction then just layed the card on the classic stamp pad then buffed. Then, I sanded again, and layed it on the stamp pad in different directions but didn't buff. Came up with a really cool look because the texture from the stamp pad stayed perfectly.
