Okay... Here is my REAL submission. (wasn't too happy with my card last night)... I must be in the Christmas spirit or maybe just wishing the summer would be over ( I HATE the summer)!! Thanx so much for looking, and thanx for the awesome challenge! It was fun

Here is my card for the challenge. I had the most trouble limiting my embellishments. I think the card looks plain. :(

2 stamps: flannel, noble deer
2 ink: handsome hunter, nite of navy
2 accessories: pastels, hemp

judylb 08-11-2006 09:22 AM

What a challenge, Jen! The 2 accessories were what gave me the problem. Started to sponge the panel then thought that sponge was probably an accessory putting me over the limit, so locked it away!!
Old Heifer
2 stamps: Michaels $1 sentiment, Penny Black cow
2 inks: Just Stazon
2 access: circle punch and Primas

When I think of "two accessories" I think of the back of the catalog, and pick 2 items from there, excluding adhesive.

This is getting complicated! LOL! We do collect a lot of stuff for our hobby, don't we? Technically, it is. But just like the EP and heat gun, eyelets and a setter, and brads and a tiny whole punch, let's let it slide. ;) When I was thinking of specialized tools, I was thinking of stand alone tools like a distressor, crimper, coluzzle, and punches.

woohoo...i finished during the day!! here it is...

That's very cool! I was making it harder on myself...and quite frankly was in a panic, LOL! :o Hopefully I can play in a little while!!

This is a Thank You for my brother. I like how it turned out. http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...40505&cat=4713
Hope you like it I sure do.

reneejul1 08-11-2006 10:41 AM

Here is my Bloomin' card. This was hard for me, not with the inks and stamps, but the embellishments - PURE TORTURE, hard to pick the two I wanted.

tggrfriend 08-11-2006 10:49 AM

This was certainly a challenge for me. I have come to realize I rely on a lot of embellishments. Here it is. TFL

I just realized that my first card wasn't legit - I used black to stamp and should not have. So, I made another to meet the challenge correctly.

Thankful Blossoms

Thanks again, Jen - and sorry for the snafu on the first!

Here's my second one - I used black ink on the first which counted as one of my two inks - sorry for the snafu!

Pardon my stupidity, but what is a distressor? Is that an actual tool?

Jen, I must say, this was a really hard challenge. I uploaded my card, but it just doesn't look complete. I'm really gonna have to add to it. Here's my red roses.

reneejul1 08-11-2006 11:50 AM

Here is another for the challenge Long Time Friend. Have only made 2 cards with this set, don't know why, cause I really LOVE it!

I loved having to limit myself because I can get so carried away with everything! So once again Thank you thank you thank you (see what I mean about getting carried away?) for giving me a new point of view. I love my sahara sand watercolor crayon, I washed the images with that! :)

McStamper 08-11-2006 01:15 PM

I did it! I enjoyed this challenge. It was hard not using any printed papers! I used Print pattern instead. I used the ribbon and the sponge as my emblishments. I wanted to give the ribbon a bit more color so I ran it across the Ruby Red ink pad.

Stuck on Stupid

Don't you just hate it when people can't read and follow instructions!!! GUILTY, GUILTY!! I had a "stuck on stupid" moment and thought I couldn't use more than 2 inks, not thinking I was supposed to use 2 inks. I am so AR that I had to make things right with the Stamping Goddess or I could never live with myself. Rather than go in and remove the LSC76, I revamped my card by punching a new circle and doing DTP in cow pie brown. Whew, carrying around this guilt is more than I can handle!! Now I'm off to give myself 40 lashes with a wet baby wipe!!

lacyquilter 08-11-2006 02:40 PM

OK, just to prove to myself that this couldn't be that hard, I made a second one. Here's striped sympathy.

Yes, there are distressing tools. SU has one on the new cutter kit on page 223.
P.S. - You're not stupid. ;)

Fun challenge, but tricky for me!! It was really hard to limit myself :-) Here's my card, combined with this week's sketch challenge

http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...00&ppuser=2298

kittie747 08-11-2006 05:12 PM

I used 1 set- Friends Are Like Flowers
2 inks Black Stazon and Bashful Blue
2 Embellishments Watercolor Crayons and a Sponge
I hope my watercolor brush doesn't count as an embellishment.
I used my paint brush and crayons to paint background around the layers of cardstock but I don't think it shows up very well. I used a strip of cardstock to make a faux ribbon.

I had a really hard time with how light watercolor crayons paint compared to using reinkers. It has been a long time since I played with the crayons. It was lots more work than I rememebered.

Pale Flowers

auntynanny 08-11-2006 06:17 PM

WOW - I didn't realize how challenging this really would be. I found myself looking for a background stamp and more coloured ink. I was thinking this would be a baby card but it sure didn't turn out that way.

CCamTP 08-11-2006 09:46 PM

This was alot of fun and it gave me a chance to use the new Halloween sets.
The only problems was I broke a fingernail ruffing up the edges because I didn't know if sissors would be considered an accessory

Here's my card for the challenge; I liked this one a lot since I tend not to use too many colors or embellishments. Wild for 2-2-2

I made one!! I used Bordering Blue and Night of Navy Ink, Glitter and Ribbon and The Snowflake Spot and Sheltering Tree

dpierstamper 08-14-2006 05:51 AM

Didn't get to stamp all week so I combined three challenges and a special order to create this card for a 100th birthday. Actually penciled in 100th between hoppy and birthday using blender pen and pastels after I scanned..
Unfrogettable card

inkpad 08-14-2006 06:07 AM

I confess I didn't have two colors of ink until I did handstampedby with white on the back of the card. I spent yesterday afternoon making Tag Time samples and there was no good way to add a 2nd color of ink to the front. The ribbon smushed up a little in the scanner. This one would have been better with the camera but dh took it to school this morning.

I believe this is the first time I've ever done an LSC! My sister in NC and I decided to do a "mini" challenge between us and I picked this one for us to do.

So, here's my attempt at this challenge.//www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=344741&nocache=1
