What a wonderful challenge. Jenn you are correct when you need a sympathy card you really don't feel much in the mood to make one. So it is a good feeling to have some made up in advance. This is a simple card but I like the elegant feel it gives.
Another great challenge, Jen, thanks!!! I hope to have time to play a little later!! I could use a few of these on hand for emergencies (sad but true)!!
Thanks for the challenge Jen--I really appreciate the fact that you keep the integrity of the challenges intact. I know this has to be a tough challenge on your part (no pun intended
The LS Challenges are awesome, Keep 'em coming they really make my creativity soar, and as 4Queens said love the rules they keep me in check. My Card is as close as I could get with my limited stamp selections, but please read my blurb under description. Thanks Again.
Check out my Card:
Rick had asked me to stamp a sympathy card for his coworker yesterday. Thank you, Jenn! You make me get it done so quickly by turning it into a challenge
**slapping my own hand!**
i am a loser - so happy to do a challenge and stamp - i guess all the elation of both boys asleep at the same time combined with stamping instead of cleaning i TOTALLY missed the rules... i even read jen70's great disclaimer at the beginning of the challenge about rules and such... then look what i did - i won't add it to the lsc gallery but thought i'd post here anyways! This is the first sympathy card I have ever made, and I hope I don't have to use it anytime soon. Thanks for giving me the push to make a sympathy card so I will have one ready when I do need it. This is also a triple challenge card - color, sketch, and limited supplies. Here it is: LSC132 With Sympathy by lauralea39 at Splitcoaststampers
This challenge fit my card style well, as I tend to keep my layouts simple and rely on color for punch. I enjoy using a monochromatic color scheme and I think it was effective on this card.
I had to just use a the sympathy card I had made a few weeks ago for "just in case" so it was time to make another one to keep in my stash. Hopefully I won't have a need for this anytime soon. This was a good challenge and I think I met all the requirements. I used a flower image and only one background stamp and one sentiment. Since I usually use limited embellishments, I used none this time. I even substituted cardstock for ribbon. I combined this challenge with this week's color challenge and sketch. Here is my card.
