Yeah! I uploaded my card to honor Sharon! Congratulations, Sharon!!! I do hope you have just loved all of the attention this week. Here is my card in your honor:
Sorry if this is a double post. I submitted a card but them backed out so not sure if it posted. Anyway congrats to Sharon - awesome gallery. here is my card. 4 the wildlife by lamoore - at Splitcoaststampers
Browsing Sharon's gallery was a delight. I found two cards that inspired me. The first was for expansion of my color theme (from the IC challenge)...DTGD12 Sept Christmas Cards sm. Besides navy blue, I included black and metallic gold. The second was for its layout and background patterning...MMTPT476 Darling for Linda sm.
The theme of my card is changed from Christmas and/or Girl Friendship to a Masculine Birthday card. My background mosaic pattern is achieved with a gold foil acetate overlay over navy, rather than a background inked letterpress. I used a layout similar to Sharon's friendship card, but added several more mat layers. I did have an image for my focal point, but it is a vintage auto rather than a wee girl.
