Stacy I've ordered tea from a couple of places ..both are excellent and ship fast..one is American Tea Room ..my favorite teas from there are Brioche Organic Black ...not the herbal (the smell is amazing) , Earl Grey Lavendar Organic Black, and Extreme Vanilla. I also have gotten tea from Red Blossom which I visited in San Francisco and did a tea tasting in their shop...I really like their Rose Black. Both places have Jasmine and they do have the blooming varieties. I know I had gotten a variety pack from Red Blossom which included some Jasmine and it was great...;)

JBgreendawn 10-16-2016 07:13 AM

eh, I think I have been tossing 2 or 3 blooms in a mug... so, ack! that tea is "supposed" to be 1 bloom in a whole pot

I only drink any kind (hot or cold) of tea black so I tend to do them strong.
( If I do bagged kinds sometimes I do two bags in a mug)

peeps321 10-16-2016 08:03 AM

OMG Lydia  I just tried your shaving cream-stencil technique..WOW!!! I got some really cool results. Will wait for it to dry and then make it into a card. Actually I got a few backgrounds I can use later. So fun :p;)

Isn't it a hoot? And so easy!

Shoe Girl 10-16-2016 09:07 AM

I am back home and hoping to try some of the great added fun techniques this weekend. Gotta get DH to get to the store for candy and shaving cream. :)

luvtostampstampstamp 10-16-2016 11:21 AM

Here, here, checking in....I think, I hope! Little man is down here, so never sure how long I can tackle stuff!! He was fussy/clingy yesterday, so my quiet afternoon didn't happen!! Whatever right? I can't complain, I've knocked out more stamping this last week than I have in a whole year so hey (and I was able to get the snowman tea light done...he is adorable!! DH will soon be heading out for a walk with him, so it's easy to stay positive right now!! ;)

I love coffee and tea, but drink more tea likely. I can't handle a lot of caffeinated coffee...alters my personality in a bad way LOL! But tea I can handle, but still don't go beyond a cup or two in the morning of caff. The rest of the day it's decaf. My most recent favorite company is https://piperandleaf.com/

luvtostampstampstamp 10-16-2016 11:22 AM

I need to check out the tea light gallery out and see if anyone made it into a penguin? Should be easy enough you think? My DD1 would love that!!

luvtostampstampstamp 10-16-2016 11:26 AM

And it looks like as of today I'm 8 cards and 2 tutorials behind! Plus I want to do more cards for the drives and I figured out based on the 40 or so that I would send for HYCTT, I'll send 10 to each drive.

FMcrafter 10-16-2016 11:47 AM

was just shopping...bought TAZO AWAKE tea...hope it helps!

Tea comes in many forma...there are blooming teas...they come in a ball and bloom in the pot...one ball per pot...or you can have tea leaves where you see everything in it or tea bags.. what ever your preference and price range allow... me I NEED some Chinese gunpowder tea...has the highest caffeine rating...I think

germanstampler 10-16-2016 11:50 AM

Lydia- The shaving cream technique looks so great. I'll definitely try this out!!!!

Ooo, yes, I have a stash (haha) of Stash brand Xmas teas that I got on clearance last year and I can't wait to break them out. But I'm not done with pumpkin season quite yet!!

luvtostampstampstamp 10-16-2016 01:17 PM

Just got three cards done and some uploading done. Now to upload these three new ones and then take a family break. Imagine!

muscrat 10-16-2016 01:35 PM

I made my pumpkin cookies from the recipe I put in the falliday fest recipe thread today. They are even better than I remembered from last year!

Haha, pumpkin treats are dangerous territory!! I've been craving some bake time! But trying to put my time to good use in the studio this week and next, getting these challenges done! Can't do it all!!

muscrat 10-16-2016 02:31 PM

Well I'm a chocoholic, so for me to say these are my favorite cookies (over milk chocolate chip) is saying a lot!

JBgreendawn 10-16-2016 03:07 PM

those shaving cream backgrounds are addictive... ( says the chick who has a pile drying)

its still dark and gloomy here so, I did those in the kitchen. ( no cards yet)

muscrat 10-16-2016 03:10 PM

I have a pile of extras too, Stacy!

tessaduck 10-16-2016 03:22 PM

Ditto

muscrat 10-16-2016 03:30 PM

I'm trying to keep up daily because when I fall behind, I tend to give up. So far so good!

I haven't started...

Unless of course you consider reading the challenges as having started! :p

I have not given up on the hope of making ONE card...it will be a birthday card for the donation challenge...that much I do know...

It might be Tuesday of this week...

pvilbaum 10-16-2016 08:08 PM

Well, this is the first time I have had time to get on the chatter thread for the whole time. I do enjoy reading what everyone is doing and coping with. With my DH now retired I am finding it harder to have the time to stamp every day like I used to when he was away for a week at a time. But he watches enough football that I can come in my stamp room and he doesn't miss me much. Only when he decides he needs a cookie. He can't go into the kitchen and get it himself. lol He really could and does, but tonight I had to go get them for him. He didn't realize I had put them in the freezer. I have so many cards to do still but I may be able to get them all finished.
Hope everyone has a good night. I am off to get some sleep. I have to work tomorrow before I can get back to my stamps. Good night all.

Um, yup, you sound like me again. And I am behind...but I WILL catch up b/c this is all FUN!! Reality is life Witt little ones means you don't always get that dreamed of free time, so I just have to keep chugging along and I will get caught up and done, especially with the sweet catch up period given!

taclary 10-17-2016 05:14 AM

I had a successful weekend. Almost caught up on the challenges. Just need to post all my cards and projects. I can tell you that I have enjoyed each and every challenge.

luvtostampstampstamp 10-17-2016 05:30 AM

annsforte3 10-17-2016 06:57 AM

So glad everyone is having fun, I know we as hostesses are having a blast, viewing all the wonder in the galleries!!

luvtostampstampstamp 10-17-2016 07:04 AM

Whew, shaving cream scent took over the RMO oil blend I have diffusing!! ;)

luvtostampstampstamp 10-17-2016 08:54 AM

Whew, intense morning in the studio. Little man slept in, so thus his morning nap schedule was off. And thus he and DD3 were in with me creating....messes!! YIkes! I'm not used to this...I get done crafting and then have huge messes to clean up LOL! I'll wait until later today, but wow! I'm tripping over all kinds of STUFF!! Got two cards made at least...did the shaving cream trick and loved it, just had a putzy time putting the right kind of card together from an idea in my mind!!

Time for lunch and then hopefully naps and then hopefully I'll feel rejuvenated! LOL..one week into this and I'm losing steam on how to keep life balanced!!!

tessaduck 10-17-2016 08:58 AM

Today's got to be a catch-up/clean-up day for me. Yesterday was full of favorites thread, church and a stamp class. I was lucky to squeeze time for the tute! Tomorrow, the gal comes to clean house, which is a treat and a curse. I end up with a sparkling clean house, but I have to tidy up and organize before she comes! Clean house before she comes to clean house... Odd behavior.

So, I guess I better get at it.

I have shaving cream on my shopping list for this afternoon. I do not like messes, but I'm going to do it because I love the Falliday Fest...and Lydia...I'm really driven by fear of disappointing her. LOL

pick up disposable gloves too... because, I dunno how she kept her fingers skin colored during the video.. but, mine turned re-inker colors  ( which was why I picked the kitchen in advance knowing the sink was a few steps away) ;)

FMcrafter 10-17-2016 09:34 AM

Need a note from Lydia to take time off!! Off to have my mammogram! Wish me luck! Lol
