Bible Art Journaling 2016- 12 December
Hi Everyone!! Sorry to be late, again with this month's theme! Time sure is flying by and Christmas will be here before you know it :-)
The theme for December will be "Salvation"- with an optional challenge of "Anything Goes".
I am so thankful for the free gift of salvation through our faith in Christ alone! As we celebrate Christmas and give gifts to our loved ones, may we never forget Christ's sacrifice on the cross and the free gift of salvation to all who truly believe- the greatest gift of all!
Just a reminder that there are many free resources online for looking up keywords (I personally use BibleGateway.com). Once you are on the BibleGateway.com site, put your cursor on the first heading "Bible" and you should be able to choose the option "keyword search" where you can select a word or phrase, Bible translation/version of your choice and I would recommend setting the # of words per page to 500. I have found that BibleGateway.com is an excellent great resource for study and teaching.
In my keyword search of the word "Salvation"- it appears in 166 verses in the NKJV, 158 in KJV and 114 in NIV. Since the theme of the Bible is "Redemption of Man" I am not surprised that there are so many verses that reference salvation directly :smile:
Again, please remember that there is no right or wrong way to journal in your Bible, or if you prefer, you can just use an art journal. It is not about how great your artwork looks but it is a creative worship time between you and the Lord.
So let's grab our art supplies (gelatos, colored pencils, acrylic paints, markers, plain pencils, watercolors, crayons- whatever your heart desires) along with sponge daubers (if you wish) and worship the Lord with our creativity!!

Once you enter the "Upload A Card" click on the arrows next to the windows under "Select Galleries"- in the first window select "Anything BUT a Card", in the second window choose "Books, Handmade Albums and Journals" , in the third window choose "Art Journal Pages" and then a 4th window should appear and choose "Bible Art Journal Pages" .
Also, please use all three of these keywords when you post to the gallery- BAJ16, BAJ1612, Bible Art Journaling (remember to separate each with a comma) and please come to this forum to link your journal page so we can be inspired by your work and encourage you with some "love" ...
I am so looking forward to seeing how you interpret the "Salvation" theme into your Bible Study/Bible Art Journaling! Plus, there is no deadline so even though this is the December theme, you can link whenever you desire...
