Default Make my own...

My hubby is a very good artist and I would like to turn some of his doodles into digi stamps. What is the best way to do this? Can he draw it on paper w/ black ink and I can scan it in as a pdf? What size/resolution do I save it at?

It would need to be at 300 dpi at least to print but you'd be much better off working in something like Photoshop.
