CC798 Eating Grapes from Bermuda to the Pacific (6/30/2020)
Hello thereColorChallengeFans! I'm excited to be here as your olor challenge hostess this week.
Before introducing this week's colors I'd you to take a peek at Barbara's favorite from last week.
Barbara chose Colorful Bay by Kathy aka CAKath. Here's what she had to say about Kathy's beautiful card.
"Kathy has used the Challenge Colors to create watercolor washes, strategically placing them on her stamped image to create this dreamy, beautiful scene. An unusual and striking technique for a special art piece. I want to go there and spend a week."
Congratulations Kathy! The code to add the favorites badge to your blog is located at the bottom of the post. We will also feature your card on our color challenge Pinterest board. See that here.
And, since it is the end of the month I would like to extend a special thank you to LeAnn, Marianne and Sandie for all of their exceptional design work. It's been a joy to have you join us.
And now on to this month's colors:
Pacific Point
Gorgeous Grape
Bermuda Bay
Dessert Option - Scallops or waves
Remember, you are always welcome to include the Stampin' Up! Neutral Shades in your card. You can find those colors here.
Also, even though we list Stampin' Up! colors for the challenges, these are just color reference points. Use the closest colors you have. We want everyone to be able to play!!! Please put CC798 in your keywords (and if you have more than one challenge use a comma to separate them). We want to be able to find your card!
Fun challenge, Chris. Here's my card. This guy was still on my desk from yesterday's card. Perfect for this challenge.

What a great color challenge! I rediscovered a cute stamp set with dinosaurs. I fussy cut my wooly mammoth with a cave boy riding on his back. Added a fussy cut cave girl and my sentiment block. Used my aqua painter to wash the color and 3 washi tapes for borders. Here's You Make My Heart Saur

Barbara, many thanks for the shout out for last week's card. I am humbled and touched. I guess this means I should keep showing up on Tuesdays! Today's card again leans on color as a big part of the design.
Thanks, Chris. I started with your colors but they got altered quite a bit in my design process. I also combined your challenge with the tea party Asian theme. CC798 MMTPT623 Migrating Dra...

For today's card I combined the sketch challenge with this week's color challenge, switching out the central panel rectangle for my fussy cut circular bloom. Used my blender pen to add a wash of color to my petals, and added pearls in the center. Used a striped washi tape for my 2 borders, and added a baker's twine bow. Here's you are too kind

Interesting color combo! I didn't think it would work at first, but that's why it's called a challenge, right?? I fit in the scallops with the die cut.
