LOL....!
As I was setting here waiting for the challenge to post, I decided to make a card for my friend who is feeling a little blue and really scared. She just had a new baby in August and she called me yesterday and told me they think she might have breast cancer.
I laughed when I read the Challenge because it was exactly the colors I was using.
Great color combo, and my weird brain already has a strange plan to implement with it - we'll see if I can pull it off!
On the 'constructive criticism' idea, I just have a quick thought: Oftentimes, even if someone asks for suggestions, they are really looking more for positive feedback than actual help - sort of 'fishing for compliments', if you will. (I'm not saying that's always the case, but that's been my experience by and large) What I find is helpful to me is if someone is specific in their feedback: 'I really like how you did the ribbon', 'What a great layout', etc., etc., instead of just 'ooh, I like it!' That way you get a sense of what works, and you're getting positive input, rather than - real or perceived - criticism. I find that even on cards that I don't particularly care for in the galleries, I can usually find at least one thing that I do like, so I'll leave a comment on that. Of course, if I love everything about it, I have to say so, too! Just a thought...
Hi all,
It's past bedtime where I am but who cares. I often make cards but seldom post them. lol. Somebody said constructive criticism was OK, so Y'all need to tell me to be quite if I'm in the wrong.
Anyway, whilst I like pink and realize it is breast cancer awareness, it's also Halloween, (which I don't like, but many do) and the time of year for the fabulous fall colors, which have missed living in Guam for the last 3 years. It seems like it would be good to include some of these also. I'm not saying these colors aren't nice, in fact I'm gonna go make a card now, which I probably won't post. This is just the thought that came to mind.
Love the idea of using a pink color for the entire month to remind us to support breast cancer awareness. Here's MY CARD.
