It's time for CC07! I'm posting it tonight cause I am
LOL
In honor of our dearly departed friends.... forest foliage and baroque burgundy!
Enjoy! This is also a tribute to the wonderful years of 1993-1998 when these colors were the *hot* colors for living rooms and draperies and kitchen ensembles from coast to coast.
Hmmm. This one may be tough for me. I like these colors and love them together, but I always think Christmas when I see them. Since I'm originally a Florida girl who got transplanted north, I'm happy that spring is finally arriving and the cold, icky stuff is going way. So, it's hard for me to think even a little bit Christmasy right now! LOL I'll have to see what I can do. Thanks for the challenge, MamaK!
Sing it with me now....
it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, here at SCS
there's card in the gall-e-ry, glistening once again
I love it! We can make a few Christmas cards and stash them away! Sounds like fun.
sing some more with me...
I'm dreaming of a "forest foliage and baroque burgandy card",
just like the ones I used to know...
where the tree tops glisten, and children listen...
to hear sleigh bells in the snow....

Hey... ;) .I still have those colors in my dining room!!!! LOL! I hate to part with them because they go with my china that I rec'd from my Mom!! I am re-doing this room this summer, so I hope to tone the green down to a more Mellow Moss of sorts!!
It seems as though you've found a way to cure my addiction....for this week anyway. I have a whole package of Baroque Burgundy but not even 1 sheet of Forest Foliage.
Here is my card for the color challenge,,, now I am going to be sorry to see these two colors go, :( Gosh, they are pretty together and especially with gold.

mamak, You make 1993-1998 sound like ancient history. Are we getting old? I love those colors. I'll see what I can do. I'm new too SCS, but I have a lot of cards to make this week and a challenge will be fun.
OK. I'm new at this. I uploaded my first CC07 card. But I didn't know how to get it here. I feel silly, but what do I have to do so I can get it right for the next one?

Here's mine, and for the record.........I can't stand FF! When I opened up my 2.5+ year old pad, still looks brand new, not a fiber out of place, and the middle, not dipped at all..............
I got one done finally that I actually started yesterday! I did the Burned Batik technique. Interestingly, when the Bar. Burgundy and F. Foliage combined, I got an Eggplant Envy color! :o I thought it turned out interesting and not like Christmas! Hope you enjoy.
It is never "too late" to post to a challenge thread! I actually like to see the older challenges resurface...it reminds me of the challenge and sometimes I play along again. I'm off to check out your card!
I am going through as many color challenges as I can. I went through my messy scrap drawer and found a stash of card stock for an incomplete project. Perfect!
