May 2017 Christmas Card Challenge
Here is the thread for the Christmas Card Challenge for May 2017!
For May, it's Stacy's outstanding idea to ink up that new stuff you hopefully received for Christmas 2016!
Hopefully you were good and received lots of goodies from Santa!! If you were on the naughty list and did not get any new stamps, use a stamp that hasn't seen ink in a while!!
Please leave us a link to your card and make sure to use CCC17MAY in the title and in the Keywords!
Reminder, this is just a suggestion to help get you motivated and start on your 2017 Christmas Cards!
There is no 'deadline' to completing your Christmas cards for May!
It's never too late to join....
You can join anytime during the year. If you need to skip a month or two, that is perfectly fine.

Okay then, the one I did for this weeks fs challenge combines with this month as this sentiment is brand new for me..
FS516 Snow Chasin' by JBgreendawn - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
(and that is one of the reasons I pick the FS challenge to play in, you get a jump start and if you pick a card that is not a "Christmas one" that is instantly one of your 2 required changes right out of the way...

Feels funny to be starting out in May, but I was playing with some never inked stamps, so it fit the theme. And I need to try harder to keep up this year. Here are my first two Christmas cards for the challenge.

Here are my cards for May using a "new to me" stamp from ODBD. I made 5 of the same Merry Cardinal Resting cards for May.

I used a new sentiment die on one of these two cards. They are numbers 2 and 3 of 10 for May:
Red and Green Splats
Gold and Silver Splats

It's hard to get Christmas cards made when I'm busy in the garden! Here's number 4 of 10 for May (I'm pretty sure I won't reach my quota this month!!).

Here's number 5 of 10 (not sure I'll finish May's quota before the end of May!). Instead of something new, I used something very old!

Just got a new Christmas stamp set. Made 5 cards using it. Here is a sample of what they look like. The ribbon with glossy accents didn't photograph to good.

Finally completed my cards for this month's challenge! My "new stuff" isn't stamps--I got some new embossing folders for Christmas, and used two of them on these cards--hope that counts!

Here are my first two for the May theme to use something new: the die cut lightbulb branch is a new die for me and this is the first time I've used them. Christmas Tree Branch by cjzim - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers

Another card for my May quota - one more to go! This is done with a stamp I purchased a few months ago and is being used for the first time.

I'm making cards for our church bazaar in December, and this is my prototype. Since Snowy is a new stamp for me, I decided that May was the right choice to upload!
