I'm getting a late start but I only need to make about 40 cards. I think I might work on ornaments and gift tags some of the months. Will that be o.k.? This is such a great idea for a challenge. Every year I plan to start early but never seem to. Also when I'm getting started in November I never want to make a very detailed card because of the time crunch. This year I can go all out.
April
With over 7 pages to go thru I just scanned and did not see this question. Do we need to us SU sets for this challenge? If it is still possible to join your challenge group I think I would like to. It would really be nice to get my cards done early this year.
I'm here- just late!! Put me down for 10 in April (don't think I posted) and 15 in May (so far). I'm a "demo" now so hopefully that total will increase!!
Can someone resend me the info on where to send the items for our basket? My info got lost in the change and my favorites that I saved to my computer won't work in my IE anymore. Thanks!!

OK, so this isn't quite as easy as I thought it was going to be! Geesh, I'm struggling to make all my cards perfect. I've done um...about 5! Ooops, I better get to it today! I have some time, just the creative juices aren't quite flowing in the Christmasy mood when I'm sweating at my table with the fan on high. Oh yeah, thats right, thats a permanent state for me now here in Panama..where is ALWAYS hot!!!!!!! WAHHHH.......

I just posted to the other thread. I just finished my third month. The last two I'm using also for swaps so I'll post them when I get them back. Should be getting my 2nd month back soon. The other one is done, but the swap isn't due until June 15, so it'll be awhile before it gets back. Now I'm on to some different greetings.

Just found this thread....I'm joining, even if you don't officially count me! What a terrific idea....why didn't I think of this sooner? I remember hearing years ago when my son was small and I spend countless hours at the town pool that that is the perfect place to address your Christmas cards...and I've always meant to do that, but of course never did! So, this is right in line...sure beats beginning them on December 10th, which is when I usually panic and get started! Maybe I'll make 15 a month and should be finished with the October batch! Thanks for a GREAT idea!!

Oh my goodness Ladies - I'm sorry I got so behind in updating the list in the original post! I've just added Airplane, scrapbookmommy, Bananna_nd, BarbaraD. Did I leave anyone out????? If I did, please psot another message here and I aplogize! We are up to 99 participants!
Someone asked if all stamps need to be SU? Nope, not at all! Someone asked if you have to upload cards to your gallery? Nope! We'd love it if you would, but if you are not able to that's fine.
Shelley is keeping the spreadsheet of who's completed which months at the top of the other thread. I think she's on vacation right now, but she will update that list once or twice a month
Please let me or Shelley know if you have any more questions. Or any of the ladies who have been participating can help you too.
If you'd like to send goodies for the prize basket (we plan to have 2 drawings) please PM me for my address.
Please note - the thread where you report when you've completed cards for a month has now been moved to the Challenge forum along with this thread. So now it should be easy to find!! Jenn rocks! Thanks. This should make things much easier!
I would like to join. I don't think I will be able to complete any for June, so I will officially start in July and should be done by November. I usually send about 50 cards each year but I might make 12 each month instead of 10 to pad it a little and so that I have one to keep for a sample. I will try to do a different design each month so I can try different stamps and techniques.

Hi,
I know I'm behind but plan to remedy that very, very soon. I finished my challenge for April.
A lot of coloring but it was therapeutic
I made the same cards for a recent swap and wanted to wait until everyone got theirs before posting. I got the design idea from a previous Idea Book & catalog.
I'm now working on May and June's challenges (also a lot of coloring) and will post soon.
Joanne

I had seen this on the forum, but never explored until tonight. I would like to be added to the list. I have 1 more day of June, and work best under pressure so I will be posting June's Christmas Cards tomorrow!!! I usually make about 50 cards, so I hope to sneak some gifts or ornaments in too. Thanks for setting this up!

Please subscribe to that thread for reporting when you finish cards from July forward. It's easy to find - go to the Challenge Forum, then Christmas Cards, then you'll see our 3 threads.

Ok, I got my April AND May cards finished. I did 2 for each month since I was tired of making 10 of the same. I did actually finish them about 3 weeks ago, I just totally forgot to upload!!! I had to go looking for them too when I realized I didn't put them up! OOpsy.
I also posted in the other forum my June and July submissions too! I'm not THAT far behind anymore. Yippeee...
Shelley and I would like to offer a little extra motivation to everyone to complete the challenge, so here's our idea. We will hold 2 drawings in November. The first drawing will be for everyone who participated in any way. If you finsihed any months Christmas cards your name will go in the drawing. One entry per person. The second drawing for the grand prize will be only for those who have completed 10 months or more of the challenge by November 19th.
We are asking that anyone who can please contribute to the "prize baskets". Your contribution could be a hand-stamped item, an embellishment, whatever. Or you may contribute cash towards SU products and the postage to send the prizes. It would be great if you could keep your contribution at $1-$3 in value/cost. If you are sending hand-stamped items (which would be fabulous!) please keep them on the smaller and lighter side (no tiles please) to keep the shipping cost down. You do not have to contribute to be included in the drawing. Just do it if you can and want to. It will be so fun to put together 2 cool prize baskets. Once they are complete I'll post a photo. We'll take contibutions to the prize baskets through October 30th, but the sooner the better. PM me for my address if you'd like to send something.
Is everyone still getting notifications on this thread? Please post here to let us know that you've seen this. We'll be trying to PM those that we don't hear from. !
The above was posted quite a few months ago and probably a lot of you never saw it so I'm posting it again.
I've received prizes froma couple of people so far.
Just yesterday I got a wonderful package from ILUVF14 (thanks for the adorable card as well )
Ladies we are coming on crunch time for this challenge. If we don't get some cards made this summer, the next thing you know it's fall and we're back to make Christmas cards in November. WE DON'T WANT THAT! So even if you've fallen behind (like me), it's time to get it it gear!!!
Please post to this thread Forums at Splitcoaststampers
for any month that you complete for here on out. It is also in the Christmas Card Challenge Forum (which you can click on from the home page) so it's always easy to find.
I just joined this great group thanks to my SU demonstrator recommending it. Please add me to the list...I need to make about 100 and I am starting late so I will try to do 20 a month...hopefully each month will be different.
Please add me for July. I did my 10 for July. I'm so psyched to have them done early. Last year I was so sick of my chosen card by the time I was done.
I just found this thread and think it is a wonderful idea. I would love to join. I usually only send out about 30 cards, so I will do 10 a month and be completed by October. Thanks for setting this up.

It's not too late to join!!! I just got you added VexedAngel, memorybarn, FrogdReameR. Welcome aboard! Please post to the other thread in the Christmas Card Challenge forum whenever you finish 10 cards for a month.
