how to get a signature?
I've read the directionson how to do this and was doing fine until I saw this part:
Paste this line of code into your HTML:
Change the capitalized URL FROM PHOTO HOST to the actual URL or DIRECT LINK for the image you want to use. You can also change 'my email' into something more relevant, but it's not necessary.
The end result should look something like this:
I do NOT understand the part in red. I've got it saved onto my computer, but don't know what the URL or DIRECT LINK to it is. Do I HAVE to post it some where on-line before I can use it?
You were probably told to save the image of your signature on a photo hosting site like Photobucket or Flickr. After you do that, there should be a link you can use to paste where it tells you to.
In Photobucket, which is what I use, there is a list of links for posting in forums, etc. You would choose the one called direct link and copy/paste to your blog.
When using blogger, you can go to Settings, then Format and scroll down to Post Template. If you paste your code there, it should show up on every post without having to modify your template or paste it anew with every post.
