Question Copy & Pasting from Word to Blogger Posts?

I'm brand new to blogging (just over a week) and am having difficulty trying to figure out something.

When I try to copy text from a Word document (I've tried several different ones including different versions) into a new post on Blogger, it looks fine on Preview. But when I try to Publish it, it gives me error messages saying: Your HTML cannot be accepted: Tag is not allowed, etc.

How can I copy text from Word documents into posts and get them to work? This is really driving me crazy as people keep asking for directions on things, but I can't get them to work. Help!

That's where I have been pasting it. So instead I tried the "Edit HTML" section. And guess what? It worked! So I guess that is what you need to do. Thanks for prompting me to think outside the box!

This was something that only recently changed with blogger. I never used to have trouble C&Ping into the "compose" mode, but now it will only let me C&P if in "edit html" mode. No idea why they did that.
