Default Blog/E-mail HELP

I am not sure where to post this, but I thought I would start here...I recieved an email from a "real" software business today asking me if I would host a giveaway of some software on my blog. The question is, is this a spam or is it for real? How do you get to be involved with certain companies to make money on your blog? Do you contact them or do they "find you"? I am realitively new to blogging and all the unique stuff that comes with it. So I just want to be extra careful with things like this. It just seems to be a to good to be true type of thing! Would a software company actually send out an email like this or not? Is it possible that they contacted me from this site or what? Please help me! I would love it if it was for real but I don't want to be "dumb" about scams either! Thanks for any input that you give, and feel free to ask me for more details!

If I got that, my first thought would be that it's a scam. Maybe you could do a little online research to see what you can find out about the company to see if it's legit or not.

It is a real company, I don't know if they just sent it out "randomly" or how it works.

Is it something you're interested in doing? You could certainly ask them how/why they chose you too. If it's software in a box, I'd make sure that you have it in hand before you have the giveaway for it.

I received a very similar email (maybe the same one!) and chose to ignore the "opportunity" because it wasn't a product I was interested in using.

After I looked into it more, it is not something that I would be intrested in either.

Thank You all, for your input! As you can read from my post before this, I have chosen to ignore this "opprotunity" because the product is not something I feel I would use at all. So I will wait for another chance at something else to come along and hopefully be something that I could use and enjoy! Thank You again and I hope you have a wonderful day!
