I changed my picture, so you can see me! I am tired of the stressed out siamese cat anyway! I am making dinner then going in to work on some new creations!

Holy Smoke! I can't believe how much I missed. I just added everyone's blogs to my bloglist. I think I've followed/subscribed to all the blogs and I've left a comment. Please don't kick me out of the group.
Now to go back to the beginning of the thread and catch up on all the posts. But first I think I will go to my craft room and create. I got a lot of inspiration from your blogs.
Waving hello- and hope everyone is staying warm! Sounds like you Floridians are the only ones not feeling the Arctic air : ) The news says it is warmer in some parts of Alaska today than in Illinois!
Hi Kristi : )
I made it to all of your blogs yesterday- I am very visual and LOVE to blog hop to see cards- it is an amazing source of inspiration for me. I do not often look at the gallery here- but I should- mostly go to Pintrest.
I am re-doing an upstairs bedroom- wallpaper down, need to prime and paint next, then will be moving my supplies up into that room. I found a double wide file cabinet at an estate sale a couple of weeks ago- got it for $1.00.....It is 12" wide, so I am going to try to store all of my DP in it plus cardstocks. I have my cardstocks in file folders now- mostly SU. The DP is in a variety of places- some sorted by season, some are by company eg SU. I keep the scraps in the file folders with the larger CS too.
When I move the room upstairs, I really need to sort thru 'stuff' and try to purge a little bit. I like to create later at night, so do not always just buy what I need....I buy what I want- and I like different techniques, so have lots of junk......
I am really enjoying visiting everyone! I try to every couple of days....when time allows. I've been off work on medical leave the past 3 weeks, and I go back next week, so that's going to cut into my playtime, but I"ll try and keep up my visits!
I am up-to-date on my blog visits. It is so much fun to see everyone's individual style and beautiful creations.
Shelly, I also get a lot of my card inspiration on Pinterest. It is so easy to type in a search and get exactly the inspiration I am looking for.
On paper storage, I keep all of my opened packages in an antique wardrobe which has two literature organizers in it with 48 compartments. My unopened papers are in a filing cabinet in the garage. I have way too much paper.
I must get to work this morning. Tomorrow I am giving a Christmas card workshop at my church. One hundred percent of the money which comes in is going to building garden wells in Haiti. I still have three more cards to prep.
I just caught up on everyone's blogs and commented. You guys are so talented! We really are Creative Card Making Chicks! Anyway, got my new laptop and am in the process of getting the kids (and their computer) out of my craft room so I can get so creating done. Got a lot of catching up to do in order to keep up with you guys! Thanks for all of the inspiration!
Hey Gang!
I have been re-organizing my craft room too. I only wanted to move a few things around, and POOOOF! Then entire room was on the floor, and had to be re-categorized. I have all my paper to re-shelve, and I want to get my three containers of scraps organized by color. I have so much to do! I LOVE receiving all the comments. I need to do my rounds!

I tend to reorganize often. This past weekend I rearranged my MFT buttons, several embellishments from various companies and my bling. Hopefully now that they are easier to access, I will use the stuff!
Hello to all. I have added everyone to my sidebar but haven't been able to visit yet. I will do that this weekend. I finally crafted for the first time in weeks last night and blogged. I don't usually go that long without crafting but we had some family issues to take care of. Everything is settled now so I should get back on track.
Cindy- I am following your blog and your Google + circles, but I do not see my pic thingy on your blog- love your sign stamp- I should get one!
Kristi- how do you organize your embellishments?
Ahhhhh busy weekend and lots of stamping I need to get accomplished. I went to a Stamp Camp today- 12-5 and I did not leave until 6:30PM....there were still lots of people there who were not finished with their projects- it was a bit stressful for some of the ladies, like 2 who had their Mother babysitting for little kids and it is now dinnertime and they had not given her dinner instructions..... The projects were wonderful, just a bit too much to do in the allotted time.
Is anyone else on Pintrest? Like you Lynn, I like looking for inspiration there as well- you can search anything and find cool stuff : )
Does anyone live in the Northeast where there is a boatload of snow???
Cindy, I am following you, too, but like Shelly my picture isn't showing. I don't know what is up with that.
I must hit the ground running this morning. Holiday company begins arriving today and I have cooking and cleaning to do.
Temperatures here on the Texas Gulf Coast are back in the high 70s today, Shelly, I think Tuesday we are heading back down again. We haven't seen snow here since the big White Christmas we had in 2004.
I had a fairly active blog, then changed it to more of a spiritual journaling thing (long story) and moved my stamping blog. Hardly anyone came to the new blog! I guess when people find me via google or blogger, they get my first blog only.
Any who...I moved y non-stamping stuff to a word press blog, and I rebooted my stamping posts!
All that to say, I'd love some interaction with other bloggers. I truly love finding inspiration online...and from people all over the world!

A day without card-making is a dull day.... Designing Duos
Happy Tuesday evening! Just dropping in for a minute- I told my boss I would work extra this week for some reason- it is making my week crazy. My daughter came home tonight from Michigan State Univ- where they had a bomb scare today- it was a hoax..... still makes a Mom feel uneasy!
We are headed to my husbands brother's and SIl for Thanksgiving- go there every year. I used to get upset that no one would ever come here...and one day I though- really- what is my problem....all I have to do is make a salad...no cleaning, etc It is wonderful! His family does Christmas with their own families, so we usually do Thanksgiving there and Christmas with my family- which is pretty big- I am one of 7 kids......
What is everyone doing to the holiday???
Kim- welcome to the group- I just dropped by and added you to my sidebar.
Cindy- I have no clue how to remove a poll from the top......
Family started arriving Monday with my sister. We probably won't get any fun stamping time together this trip. Today my son, daughter-in-law, two granddaughters, and one nephew arrive. Tomorrow the final four will be here making our holiday group complete.
I live two doors down from my parents so their house usually serves as party central. We share housing and cooking duties. Lots of card playing and board games. I am refusing to do any Thanksgiving or Black Friday shopping this year. I just want to hang out, visit, and enjoy being together.
Wishing you all a blessed Thanksgiving with those you love.
It looks like the weather will be fabulous here through the weekend. Keeping our fingers crossed!
Spending Thanksgiving with my hubby's side of the family. About 42 of us gathered! We actually rented a huge lodge outside Pidgeon Forge TN in the mountains..it is gorgeous up here!
We'll be here until Sunday morning; I brought some stampin supplies in case the weather keeps us stranded on the mountain
Have a Happy & Blessed Thanksgiving!

Hello ladies,
I hope you all had a nice holiday! We went to my Mom's (4 houses away) and my sister, BIL and nephew joined us this year. We had a nice time together and lots of good food. My Mom and I went out from 7-10 last night and between online shopping and in person shopping, I'm just about done with my list.
My Mom and I are leaving a week from Monday for a Disney trip. It's her first time there and I can't wait to show her everything Disney has to offer. She has bought us several matching t-shirts while we were out and about. I think she's just a wee bit excited :-)
Hoping everyone had a fab Thanksgiving! We go to my husband's brother & SIL each year- and we celebrate Christmas with my family. I just made a salad and bought a pie : )
I made a couple of Black Friday purchases and am going to try to stamp today a bit...... My daughter is home from college and will head back on Sunday. I will head to Ky on Sunday to visit my folks.
Having a lazy Saturday, much due to the fact that we stayed up nearly all night talking with some family members we rarely see who were leaving for home today. So, I will likely pull out my stamping stash pretty soon.
I finally added everyone's links to my blog roll. Hope to hop around later this afternoon.
The Smoky Mountains Nat'l Park is so gorgeous! Went there yesterday...it was cold! Today is warmer, but we won't be going out much. My husband is exhausted, and I don't drive. We'll just sit out ton the balcony and enjoy the view.
Have a great day! If you are blessed to have a LOCAL craft brick and mortar store, do some shopping there today... It's Small Business Saturday!

Hope everyone had a nice holiday....we did, lots of good food and a nice visit with family. I spent the rest of the weekend shopping and decorating! The kids go back to school tomorrow, so life returns to normal this week and I hope to make a few more cards this week.
I'm updating my blog now so be sure to pay me a visit this week!
Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. I am jealous to hear everyone is decorating, I probably won't get done until the week before Christmas! Thank goodness for internet shopping or I would still be shopping Christmas eve!
I visited everyone's blogs yesterday. You all seem to be busy. I am busy with my Esty shop so I don't know the next time I will be posting. I will still keep visiting and commenting though.
I have my Christmas tree up and decorated but had to take a break from the rest of my decorating to create 10 tablescapes for a church Advent luncheon on Sunday. I just this minute finished them.
The great thing about that is I will be able to cut some of the pieces apart after the luncheon and turn them into the remaining 20 Christmas cards I need. Nice to be able to kill two birds with one stone!
Now I can move on to getting the stockings up. Since we don't have a fireplace, I treat my front double window like it is one and hang the greenery and stockings there.
Hey Gang!
I have to admit, this is a very busy time of year. I have two more weeks of teaching then I have two weeks OFF. I was just told I will be getting observed the week before our holiday starts. Which means I need to plan a lesson and all the fun that goes with it.
I will do my best to check in, but I will be scarce until the 18th of December. My blog is already a week behind. Hopefully I'll post something this weekend. Please keep visiting and I challenge you to a card with THREE snowflakes in it!

A day without card-making is a dull day.... Designing Duos
I got home from Ky about 10:30PM last night and had to work today. I realized a couple of hours out that I left the cord to my computer at my parents home....darn! My hubby is in Detroit for the Northern Ill Univ bowl game, so I am using his computer tonight.
My parents are in their mid 80's and Mom just had a little stroke a month ago. She is doing well, except her memory. She is pretty spunky, but is getting tired pretty quickly. My brother was there from the Boston area, so he kept Dad occupied and I took Mom to shop a touch and we got our nails done- she loves to be pampered : ) My Dad is so frail- he is down to about 125# My brother and I cooked some good meals and wore them out just visiting! It is the first time since the stroke that they have had more than one person visiting. We have 7 kids in the family, and everyone has been coming- they are so sick of company!
I did not get around to blogs while I was gone- sorry- and work tomorrow and have a dinner, so if I can get on hubby's computer, I will blog hop on Sunday. I can try on my phone, but it is really hard and takes me a long time- I type with my thumb or my pointer- not too swift!
We got the parents Christmas tree up and ornaments on, and that was all of the decorating we got done there. Here at home, my hubby got the outside lights and wreath and garland up, and the bows I made are up on the wreath and garland too. Inside, the tree is up and has lights on it- but no ornaments yet.
Lynn- did you get pictures of the tables? It is awesome you were able to use the decorations on cards.
Oh Cindy- my last post on my blog from Thursday(yesterday- seems like a long time ago now.....) has 3 snowflakes on it..... hope it will count! I do not think I can post on my blog until the cord arrives- not sure how much battery is on my computer.
Have a fab weekend- I am going to get to bed- have to get up early for work.
Just checking in with everyone...sounds like everyone is super busy with the hustle and bustle of the holidays! I'm actually doing pretty well....my shopping is almost done, now just have to wrap...that part always takes me forever! Well..I'm off to do my visits! Have a great weekend!
My computer cord did not arrive today, so I am sneaking in some time on hubby's work computer.......
I finally got a Christmas wish list from my son- he is 26, lives in Grand Junction Colorado. He is very sporty/outdoorsy, so his list is all gear and clothes for his adventures. He will not be joining us for the holidays.
My youngest daughter is a senior in college, and we are going to send her to China to visit her older sister, also 26- twin to my son....... My daughter in China (Katie) is SOOOOO excited!
So, not alot of shopping to do, and not sure how much indoor decorating we are going to do either. Heading to Chicago in the AM to pick up Stephi's Visa for her trip, then hoping to get some cardmaking done in the afternoon.
How fabulous, Shelly, that you and your husband are making it possible for your two daughters to spend Christmas together in China. I know they will create many lifetime memories on this visit.
Like you, I shop from a list for my son for Christmas. This year, however, we are doing a destination Christmas (actually the week after Christmas) to the Texas hill country with his family ( wife and two daughters). We decided on this adventure instead of the usual extravagant gift giving and are really looking forward to it.
I do make all of my Christmas cards and am sending out only two versions this year. For the past 6 or 8 years I have sent everyone a different card. I'll post them both here later this week.
This morning I am heading out to spend today and tomorrow visiting my son, his wife, and my youngest granddaughter who has a Christmas concert with her high school band tonight. Her older sister has her last college final tomorrow and will be heading home from college on Thursday having finished her first semester.
During this busy, hectic rush toward Christmas, may you all squeeze out a little time for yourself to relax and reflect on the season.
I finally did another post today. I had a major week with some church Advent/Christmas events. Now it's time to regroup!
I make all of my Christmas cards, but I make several designs. I aim for 12 each of as many as 10 designs. I always start early in the year...then blow it off for months! i have signed up for the Christmas card challenge many times, to no avail. I think I just like the rush of making a lot in Nov/Dec
In fact, I was opening mail yesterday, and had 2 Christmas cards. I thought to myself... "Why are people already sending Christmas cards?"
Oh yeah...because it's the 2nd week December!! YIKES!
I am not too bad off, but only because I have some I made last year but never mailed. (I did not send a single one...lots of stuff going on)
So...I am using my personal goal of completely each 2014 SCS Color challenge as a motivational tool. Lots of recent color combos work well for Christmas cards.
Here goes!!

I have a Blogger site, and in my settings I clicked NO for word verification. But the word verification is there. I know many people hate that feature, and it hasn't always been there. Comments are going through fine, but I'm guessing it is because everyone has to fill out the "prove you are not a robot" box.
Anyone else having issues with this?

Kim, I have visited many blogs which have had this happen to them in the past few weeks. It is a Blogger issue which hopefully they are working on fixing.
I read on a friend's blog today that you are able to post a comment without entering the numbers. Just ignore the request for numbers and hit reply as usual. I have done it and it works.
I also learned that it is not affecting blogs with embedded commenting (which is what I have mine set on).
Yep. I found another thread discussing this issue, so clearly it wasn't just me! LOL
My comments are now set to be embedded. I have a post scheduled for tonight's VSN. I'll be at my computer on the challenge chat threads. I will stop by this group's blogs too.
My husband is on his way to Michigan State to pick Stephi up for Christmas break! Yeah. She has a paper to write tomorrow, so we will have Sunday to shop and pack for her China trip.
Lynn, your family trip is a wonderful idea. I think that may be what we do in the future....
Kim- yes, blogger is acting up, and I have been putting notes on my posts to just ignore the word verification..... and it works fine. I do not know how to embed comments.....I do not think that is how my comments are set up.
Oh fun, I should try to do a VSN card..... I finally have a day or two off! I am not a quick cardmaker, so making a card in an hour is a challenge in itself.
Two more busy weeks, Shelly! I still have 82 scrapbook pages to make for various family Christmas projects, but fortunately I am a fast stamper! And it is really only 6 designs repeated over and over assembly line style.
Here are the two cards I am sending out this year. The wisemen one is taken from the tablescapes at the Advent luncheon.
