Trying to catch up...lol...QOTD: trying to eat better and more cost effectively...
Title of my bio..."April.....flowers".... Kind of a play on words, showing how my life bloomed
Good Morning--heading out in a bit for some errands and shopping--a local SU demo is having a rummage sale that I am going to stop by,a top at the Post Office to mail a swap, then off to Cedarburg to a scrapbook store that is going out of business, a stop at the lighting store to return a fan part, a stop at the dry cleaner and then later this afternoon I am meeting Laurie to get all of the cool things from the Shoebox Swap last Saturday. Can't wait to see all of the cards.
What a fun title, Debbie... now I want to read the book! ;)
Well after it's written and I make a cool million...I will send you an autographed copy. ROFL!!! Heck after a million, I will deliver the copy to you!!!! YAY!!!!
Believe me...you want to hold the tuna casserole. Not literally...LOL
Oh, but I like Tuna Casserole...... and I NEVER ever get to have it because none of my family members will eat it. UGH!!! I grew up with it (one of my mom's go-to dishes when she was in a hurry or busy) and I like most kinds of tuna casserole... but nope. My 4 won't eat any of them.
Good thing DH was home and kept a clear head. LOL!
Really, am I the only one who will tell?
How funny........ now! Probably wasn't at the time!
And yes, it does seem the others are mighty quiet about the cooking disasters.
Me? Well, one time when I was a very young cook, I had a recipe that called for 2 TBSP of baking powder. I didn't have any baking powder and didn't know that baking soda was so much stronger. LOL! So, yep, I used 2 TBSP of baking soda. Those cookies were sooooooo bitter/nasty!!!
QOTD: my mom asked me to bake a batch of cookies...my sister and I couldn't figure out exactly how much a batch was so we baked one dozen and ate the rest of the dough....(needless to say my mom wasn't happy)...
QOTD: Desserts....I love making them but not eating them...lol...(they like my hips and belly WAY too much...)

What has been your biggest cooking disaster in the history of your cooking lifetime?
Making pumpkin pies and forgetting the eggs.....it was more like pumpkin soup in a crust.
What is the best thing you cook?
It depends on who you ask....Steve thinks it's the meatloaf, nephew Nick thinks it is the Sour Cream Enchalidas, nephew Dan thinks it is the Buffalo Chicken dip.......
Biggest cooking disaster....a meatloaf, ugh, Kyle lived it and I made him throw it out and took the family to Wendy's....Mike was made peanut butter cookies with no eggs....can you say crumbles?? Was great on ice cream!
The best thing I cook....sticky buns....lemon meringue pie....hmmmm....

I think you should cook all three dishes for me... and let me decide which one is best!;)
