Is this just for SU! people or for eveyone? Can I post cards made with stamps other than SU!? I used to be a demonstrator and have a lot of their stamps but have been using others as well. :D

hi hobbit,

everyone's welcome! My wife and I are building this site, and being an SU! demonstrator she's more familiar with their products than anything else, so that's why you're seeing a predominance of SU! related stuff. The earliest members are also mostly SU! folks, members of her downline.

So you may always see a bit of a Stampin' Up! slant to much of the content here, but we'd welcome your input on making the forums or gallery more friendly to non-SU! folks. Adding categories to the gallery, for instance, or additional forum categories.

We're still in construction mode, so feel free to make suggestions. We'll probably be promoting the site amongst the wider stamping community once we're a little more satisfied with the 'fit and finish' of the site.

This is probably going to be one of those stupid questions, but did you create this group using some group service? I belong to another group in which we are always running out of space (the Y word if you get my drift here) so we seem to always need to be deleting our artwork, older messages, etc. Love the way this works.

you're right, what a stupid question! No, just kidding

Are you talking about Yahoo groups? I guess the easiest answer is that what we're doing here is a little step up from Yahoo Groups. First of all, YG are free, so you get what you pay for I suppose. Because the service is free, Yahoo probably has to find a way to limit their expenses - which means restricting the amount of storage space available on their servers for artwork, older messages and the like. Storage space = $$$.

Space will become a bigger concern for us at some point, but so far we're well within what our service provider allows. When we eventually need more space our monthly fees to them will go up, so we'll have to deal with that when the time comes.

As to whether this is a "group service" or not, I guess no, not really. We've used various software packages to build the site rather than using a service that you go out and sign up for.

Thanks for the compliment, we hope you find the site fun, worthwhile, and easy to use. We've still got lots of features we want to add and improvements to make. Be sure and let us know whenever you have a question or comment!
