I'm surprised no one is talking about this on this side. Is everyone just talking about it on the demo side? Since it will be a sure thing and it will impact many SCSers I'll post the info here. If that's not ok, please someone let me know!
How does Online Ordering Work?
Coming this fall, customers will have two options for purchasing online: through your Demonstrator Business Web Site (DBWS) or at Stampinup.com. We'll release Online Ordering through the DBWS first so that your current customers become familiar with your DBWS store first and know to come to your personal storefront. After that, Online Ordering will become available through Stampinup.com.
Q: How will Online Ordering connect customers to me?
A: Rest assured Online Ordering was designed with your best interest in mind. New customers are encouraged to choose a demonstrator from the moment they come to Stampinup.com, and are continually reminded to do so throughout their ordering experience. Customers who choose a demonstrator who has a Demonstrator Business Web Site (DBWS) are given the regular catalog merchandise price. If the customer orders on a DBWS, they are given the the regular catalog merchandise price along with a better minimum shipping price and Stampin' Rewards. Customers who do not choose a demonstrator will have to pay the premium merchandise price, which is roughly 10 percent higher.
If a customer chooses you to be her demonstrator, she'll be given your name and, if you have one, your DBWS information. From Stampinup.com, the customer can place her order through a DBWS or finish her order at Stampinup.com. (Customers who start their order on a DBWS will not have that choice.) You will be notified of the order and the customer's contact information. With this information, you'll be able to tailor your initial contact with your new customer to meet her specific needs. And she'll experience firsthand the benefit of having a demonstrator.
