Just received this email from Provo Craft's CEO - please read:
Friends of Provo Craft,
This is an exciting and troubling time for us here at Provo Craft. Exciting because we're on the verge of releasing a new revolutionary product named Gypsy. Troubling because all of our prototypes have fallen into the hands of rogue crafters who refuse to give them back.
That's why we've hired Donnie K the bounty hunter to get them back. We've set up a website so you can help. If you know of anyone with a mysterious new handheld crafting device that plugs into their Cricut, or if you just want to join in on the chase, go to roguegypsies.com
Thanks in advance for your help.
Jim Thorton
President/CEO Provo Craft
This is sad, let's hope this is returned...
Pat (Hope I do not get in trouble for posting this here.)
Will probably get moved to Tools and Products - it is quite an amusing advertising gimmick. Especially when the "bounty hunter" nearly catches one of them. LOL

My husband thought it was an advertising gimmick also. He said if someone had stolen their prototype, it would be a criminal case and the police would be involved NOT 'bounty hunter'. What do you all think?
Yep it's just a marketing campaign check THIS out I when I Googled it!
The extremes they will go to market it.....just save the money and put it on the market, don't they know us by now that stampers and scrapers just want it all and want it now! LOL

Great point in this article about the cartridges being wiped out upon loading onto the Gypsy. That's a little scary to me. Hope they have a recovery system in place.

Yeah, if the cartridges are going to be erased, I won't be getting that Gypsy - even though it looks really good. I won't take the chance that something will go wrong and cause me to lose everything. I'm very careful about things like that, and so many red flags went up when I read about cartridges being erased. No way, no how.
Like all new products they will have to work the bugs out. But I would think that they have thought about it and do have something in place (we just don't know about). If not I'm sure they will hear about it!
