Janet, I think you have adorable images... while I can see they are similar in nature to some of the other cute images out there... I think they are unique enough to stand on their own. I for one am happy to see them.
I tried to comment on your blog, but it was only open to google and open id... I don't have accounts with any of those places... so I couldn't comment.

me, too!
Interesting tid-bit...a college student went to Japan and while studying there started wondering about Hello Kitty. It's a huge thing there, and not just kids but adult women. But it bothered her about the no mouth thing. She started wondering if it had to do with the Japanese women not having much say in society. She did a documentary where Hello Kitty finally gets a mouth and a voice. It was in the LA Times a few years ago, I didn't get to see the documentary, but can't look at Hello Kitty the same since reading about it!

I have a couple of stamps that depict children without mouths, and since I've started using them they bother me. Makes me think of the Victorian notion that kids should be seen and not heard. Maybe I'm being overly sensitive, but it makes me sort of sad.

I think they are all different enough. I can definitely discern the different art styles behind Max and Milly, Lilly and Milo, Hanglar (and Magnolia), and Anglund! They are all similar yes, but different nonetheless. Different line thicknesses (and variations of line thicknesses), different proportions, different "accents" (dots, swirls, dashes) etc.
Cute drawings CraftyCairn! I bet they'll sell well! Congratulations on being a SpiralWhisper designer!! Welcome to SCS!
These are cute!! I didn't really see that they were the same as the Lilly and Milo. And while I like the Magnolia's I don't think I would ever buy them. But these I might. Depends on if one can get them cheaply in the US. Sadly, there's never enough money to get ALL the stamps I want from ALL the companies I'd like to get them from. And of course, every month they release more, so I despair of *EVER* catching up!!
I think it's interesting the different styles for "people" that are here in the US and in Europe.
