I love spending as much time as possible in my Color Studio
I used a 60% coupon yesterday at M's and the cashier acted like I was taking from her personal paycheck. She pounded the keys on the register like she was absolutely disgusted, and with each pound I just shook my head......what part of spending money no matter how much does M's not appreciate? Then, because I was so ticked off, sent my 5 year old through the line with the same coupon and the cashier said to me "Does your little girl seriously use martha stewart punches?" To that I responded "today, she does." Thanks for letting me vent.
It's been a while since I bothered with a coupon from the M store....after reading the list of exclusions for the coupon, I remember why! Sheesh....is there anything left in the store to which the coupon applies?
The thing that I liked most about the coupons was using them on books/magazines and I do vaguely recall someone saying that you couldn't apply coupons to books/mags anymore but was just reminded of it again.
So, I'm thinking that I don't need to bother going in to shop around...sounds like there is nothing left to buy. However, the clerks at the M store nearest me are pretty friendly and I have never been made to feel bad for using a coupon...guess I should be happy about that as it doesn't seem like that is the norm. I had received this same one in my e-mail and I looked at it twice and then I tried "copying" it so I could print it out....I only wanted to print the 50% off one...not all the other ones from the e-mail. BIG mistake! Only part of the coupon copied...and then when I went back into my e-mail that message came up - the one that says "Were sorry. This coupon is no longer available because the viewing limit has been exceeded." That has never happened to me in my e-mail before....I've seen it on here when people post the coupons. Boy was I ticked!!
I am wondering if me "looking" at it three times or me "copying" it made this happen????
Squirter, you are so welcome. I could not print the coupon mentioned in one of the links above either. After searching more on-line my daughter found the one I posted, & I in the meantime rounded up some from the neighbors newspapers. Their not crafters & always happy to share when asked. So off to Michaels we go 25 miles one way only to come home with out the one item we went for, again. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother to go to that store.

This is where the Snipping Tool on Windows Vista comes in soooo handy. I use it all the time to crop only the coupon I want, and save it as a new file.
I know Michael's can be a pain sometimes BUT this past Saturday I was in FL for the week-end and ended up in the Mike's in Sarasota where the lovely cashier asked if I had any coupons and when I responded I had left mine home in Boston as didn't think I would see a Mikes , used a 50% off one she had at the register. Good to see sometimes, somewhere, someone will be good to us - even in Mike's --- G

when the cashier says I can't use more than one, i distribute the extra coupons to everyone else in line. LOL. I could have just saved a few more cents off a bar of fimo clay, instead the lady behind me saved nearly $30 on the big organizer thingy.... take THAT mikes

OMG! I would have ripped her a new one for that attitude! I would have demanded she call her manager and loudly explain her attitude in deatil in front of everyone standing within earshot. I have zero tolerance for attitudes like that and I will call someone out for it. There are a million other people who could really use a job and would do it without the crappy attitude. People like that need to go away.
