See the link below, click on "Color Chart" to see the colors Michaels carries in stores. These are sold in the Art department, with drawing supplies. They are $6.99 each (US).They also sell the airbrush sets and canned air.
With a 40% coupon, that would be $4.20 apiece, plus tax. Considering no shipping, is this a good price?
I used 50% coupons and got mine for $3.50 each plus tax. But I don't always have 50%. And I sometimes use ACM and JoAnn's if they have 50% and Michaels only has 40%! But then you can only buy one at a time.
that is a great deal using the coupons. I just moved from where there was all the craft stores.. I am at my parents now, we are on leave and won't be at our final destination until the end of July.. and there are a bunch of stores where we are going (TX).. I am going to have to check on this.. thanks for sharing.
I was in a Hobby Lobby today and noticed that they had a lot of the packs of Copic markers there.. they are all on sale this week for 30% off.. but maybe on a week when they aren't on sale and there is a coupon, one could pick some up that way.
thanks again for sharing ~ Pam

Hobby Lobby excludes Copics from their 30% discount--it's in the fine print. That means you can use your 40% coupon on the packs. You can also print additional 40% coupons from their website. You're limited to one coupon per day, so you'd have to make multiple trips or have someone go with you and buy a pack for you. Archivers also has packs. Some are the same as HL, but they also have different ones. They're more expensive than the packs at HL, but you can use your Archivers 30% discount. Happy shopping--and coloring!
Are these new at Michaels stores? I haven't seen them.
Yes, new in my Michaels. Maybe the past month. But I've only seen individual markers, no packs. They are in the art (pencils, etc) supply section. My questions is where do you get the ink to refill??
We are limited with the hobby/craft stores here in Canada. No JoAnne, Hobby Lobby, or AC Moore. I am surprised that our Michael's is charging the same as our American friends for the copics. Everything here is usually jacked up significantly ie your $1 items are $1.50 here. I do like cross border shopping for this reason and we are only about an hour away from our cross border destination
I was able to use my 40% coupon today on my copic purchase. I couldn't remember which ones I still needed, so I went with basic black which I know I didn't already have. I saw they also have the air gun.
Now I didn't think to look for the air gun...Guess that means another trip!
if it's your first time buying copics, and you are even going to color skin colors, I would start with E00 Skin White, and other ones in the E family for skin tones. Also, A colorless blender pen, and the primary colors i.e. red ,orange, yellow, brown, blue, pink, purple, green
What is the difference between the Copic sketch and the Copic ciao markers? Sorry, I'm new to this stuff.
size and shape. Sketch are oval and hold more ink. Ciao are round and holds smaller amount of ink. The nibs on the ends seem to be pretty much the same and the colors are all the same. Sketch markers don't roll off your table!
