I went to creating keepsakes convention yesterday in collinsville, il (which they billed as st. louis) to shop, and I took a card to enter in the paper crafts contest. This was my first time entering a contest, and my card WON FIRST PLACE! I got a bag full of books and font software for my computer. I was soooooo excited! Right before they picked my name, i was telling my mom how i never win ANYTHING...Guess it was a good thing I was paying attention.
The card I submitted was the dahlia fold in my gallery if you'd like to look!
Congratulations ! You have every right to be excited! Didn't get to go over (I"m in St. Louis) because I'm down with a bug. Congrats again! Love your card.
Congratulations! I've gone the last two years and had planned on going this year, but then at the last minute decided to wait and go to the rubber stamp convention there in June. I usually go to both, but spending $200-$300 at each of them is a bit much. But, I ended up buying from stampingbella and went to Archiver's and Michael's the weekend and still spent that much.
Did they have any new stuff that you just had to have?? That's what I like about going -- to be able to buy all the things that can't be found in stores. Oh, well.
Congratulations again!

They had a huge sizzix booth with new dies. I don't recall if that was there last year or not? They had pretty much the same kind of stuff as before. Lots of very pretty papers and things. My favorite was the technique tuesday booth...their stamps were really cute! I got 4 of the big sets (buy 3 get one 1/2 off). There was a booth that used velvet and rubber stamps with an iron that made some pretty cool images. Haven't seen that before. I'm going to the stamp show too, it's a nice one. I spend more money there, so I'm gonna have to set myself a limit! Archiver's had coupons for $5 off $25 AND 10 FREE sheets of paper 8 1/2 x 11 OR 12 x 12. So my mom and I went to take care of that too.
