OK ladies, I left work early today B4 I had to go to soccer practice. My gosh, they had tons to choose from...I even put some back to because I didn't want to spend it all, but going back tomorrow to buy again if they have anymore. I'm sure my twin sister (okstamper) will want me to get her some too, especially the pirate ship. Here's what I picked up today:
Wait until Bonnie finds out, they had sports, disney charactors and others.

I went today too. No CB folders in the Bellingham, WA store, but they did have some Cricut cartridges for $30. Not that great a deal.

Gees, Connie...I doubt my Big Lots would have anything like this, we never get deals like everyone elses. And if they did have them, I'd go broke!

ok, I visited the other 2 BL's in my area yesterday & they had zero Cuttlebug treasures. I guess I just lucked out on the first store but I'm grateful for what I found & grateful to have found this enabling thread! Thanks again!
I wish I picked up the awareness ribbon die..I think I might pop back into the 1st BL & see if it's still there.
Happy Friday everyone!

I was able to stop at my local Big Lots and left with 11 CB items - mostly die/folder combos - all for $2! Usually my local BL & JoAnns are treated like the red-headed step-child stores and don't get what the rest of you do. I was pretty excited to find two small bins overflowing with the CB stuff!

I didn't have time to go so I called my sister yesterday and told her about them and gave her my wish list...
She went last night and said she got the two I wanted (both Disney) and she got 24 different Disney ones for herself...
Her DH told her "you can't pass up a Disney item for $2", so she had to buy them all!!!
She told me it was an expensive trip since she was only going to get the two I wanted... I told her look how much money she saved by buying them for only $2...
I always look on the postive side of much was saved... Not how much was spent!!!

Isn't it just addicting though? We may not use them, but hey who can pass up $2.00 for a die and the folder together.

I went after work today and got quite a few dies; they didn't have any folders that I could find. They were on a small rack at the end of the card aisle. I also bought some cute wood mount stamps for .50 and a few other things from the craft aisle. It's been a few years since I've been to BL and I was surprised at how much craft stuff they actually have.
The only thing I don't like is the store is so jam packed full that you can barely fit one cart down an aisle, let alone two.

My BL (Kingsport, TN) had lots of Disney dies and several others but they weren't in the scrapbooking aisle-they were with school supplies/stationery. Then I went to the BL about 20 minutes away (Johnson City, TN) and they didn't have many left at all but they have Cuttlebugs for $50 and Cricuts for $129.

Found some in another town's Big Lots. I picked up two little fish (reminds me of the Goldfish Crackers), an awareness ribbon (my mom works with Breast Cancer patients), then I also picked up With Gratitude (set that included a flower embossing folder and a cutting die with the words Thanks [2 different ways], So Kind, Thank you and a flower that matches the background). Not bad for $7!!
Thanks again for the heads up!

Thanks, ashjoy, for your enabling post! I went yesterday and left with 17 different dies. Mainly disney ones but also several smaller dies, the 2 fish, the 2 part heart and several others! Pretty much cleared them out of most of them, only one folder there "diamonds in the rough" and I had that one. Wish they would have had the combo folders with word dies, but I am very happy with the ones I did get! Tried to roughly figure out what they would have cost using online sources and came up over $200 full price! I love Big Lots!

Also a thank you for the enabling! I hit 2 of the three Big Lots in Wichita toady, one had nothing, and one had a very few items, but still I got 5 combo die & folder sets, including the Disney Princesses one I'd been keeping in my cart at Oh My Crafts. No embossing folders here, either, but I have to admit, most of what has been posted I already have. So, I'm still a happy camper. Kept my outlay to $10 plus tax, and got a bunch of new toys!!!

After being Enabled i got up early this morning and drove the 50 miles to BL.
I hit the jack pot. I got 18 different ones. They only had 2 of the embossing folders, they were Houndstooth and shell collage. You can't beat them for 2.00. They did
have all the disney ones, lots of Mickey one, but i have the cricut and Mickey and friends so i didn't buy all the Mickeys. My DH is so good he just said get one of all of them.

Woo! You did OK! I wish one of the ones I went to had that butterfly die, or the snowman set! (But I'm also happy not to spend right now, so it's a wash.)

Glenda, you did alright. I went to the BL's in S'haven and was surprised to find a few. I did manage to come away with 2 of the Disney folders. I got the golf and the western. Also picked up the Sizzlet size hearts. They didn't have any of the CB embossing folders though.
I was just surprised that they had anything.

I went to one of the local BL's today and they didn't have a lot to chose from. Having said that, I ended up getting 8 dies, 5 of which were Disney. I'll probably go to the other local one in a few days. Here's a card I made with one of the non-Disney sets...

I got some! I actually got 8 sets. There were two that I was really looking for which were the bats & skull & crossbone. They were at the last store I went to. The first store I visited had nothing. The second store I visited had exactly three, I bouht two of them leaving the store with one. Then I went to the third store and they had all the one's I've been seeing. I got the two I wanted and a few more. I really like the shells die. I saw a bunch of embossing folders & Disney at the last store. So, it pays to keep looking. Thanks for this tip! JIL

Someone on the Cricut board said the diecuts are supposed to be in the Big Lots ad next Sunday so some stores are holding them back until the sale.

I went to ours today to see if I could luck out too - smelled like urine as I walked in (WHY does ours always smell SO BAD?!! BLETH! I see the Big Lots commericals on tv and WISH ours looked like that!) No A2 embossing folders. They did have a few of the tiny dies and some Disney embossed/die combos, but nothing I thought I would ever use. No clear stamp sets all either. Ours never got the Magpie storage system from Quickutz last year either. I think ours just isn't on the list for a lot of scrapbooking or papercrafting supplies.
Thanks for the heads up anyway.
