I don't know about you, but I'm not all that crazy about the new Elzybells Spring collection of Easter chicks...they aren't as cute as the Elzybells gals. In fact, I'm not sure it's even the same artist...the style looks somewhat different. I'll stick with the gals...hope they do a summer and fall collection for them.

The only thing I was disappointed over was that there weren't any more actual "Elzys" - but I think the chicks are adorable! The little one with the bee is my FAVE and I have to get it!
I like some of the chick ones, not all of them. I too was hoping for some new Elzy's but then I already have a mix of both from NA & the UK. The chicks are indeed from the same company, as I have a couple of those from the UK as well. The NA images are a LOT smaller than the UK ones. I wanted to order more from the UK, but their website is down while they are making some changes and hopefully adding some exciting new images! I LOVE their stuff!!

I must admit that I wasn't very excited about what I saw - I keep debating about ordering a few of these and was waiting for the new releases. Guess I'll keep waiting (which frankly is better for the budget anyway!!)

I must confess myself to being pretty much smitten with the chicks, and dang, pretty much the whole release, tho, in addition to little Elzy.
At any rate, I believe ALL the images in the line are drawn by Elizabeth herself, whether it's Elzy, the little girl, or any of the other images.
HTH,

I fell in love with two of the chick stamps and had to order them first thing yesterday. I got the one with the big flower and the three chicks with the eggs. They called my name and I answered!

Julie,
You're right...variety is good, that's for sure. It keeps things interesting and additionally, it spreads stamps around evenly! :-D

I have not strayed from SU, but I have been so interested in the Elzy little girls because my girls would use them alot. I was so excited to see a new Spring line, but like others miss the little girls. Maybe a new summer Elzy line with will bring my first "rubbadultery" .(as JanTink puts it)
I do think that Elzy is quite adorable and since I just got the new Friendship ones I don't feel like I need more right away...so not only do I think the new spring line is adorable (and I bought many!) but I am not disappointed that there weren't any girls this time. Of course, everyone has different taste so it's ok not to like them. There are some stamp images that people rave about and I think to myself, what's the deal, I don't even like them!
Nope, not just you :-) I like the girls - not at all interested in the chicks. Like you, I'm hoping for a girly summer collection. I won't be ordering from the spring set, either.

Have you see the Friendship Elzies? If you love the little girl, these are wonderful for year-round! I just love them for that!

I fell in love with all of the new Elzy chicks....and went way, way over budget!
I think it's great that we all love different things about the different stamp lines. Variety is the spice of life! Besides, I couldn't afford all new stuff all the time! :-)

Oh, yes and the holiday collection...if they track IPs at their website, they probably wonder why I keep looking and looking and looking and looking...
I think I am so close which is probably why I was soooo excited when I saw the announcement of the spring release.
I did like the chicks. And the Spring was really cool. I like them so much I finally placed an order. I must say this has been the only group of stamps I have ever ordered outside of SU. I like the Elzy littles girls as well and ordered on of them. Can't wait to see what I can do with them.
i just don't do easter cards.. i don't know if making/giving/receiving easter cards is big in the US, but i don't see much of it here in canada.. so i probably won't buy any of this release. i do love the elzybells stamps, but will wait for the next release...

The chicks are cute enough, but I was disappointed that they didn't do any sheep. They have the absolutely cutest sheep in the U.K. Elzybells catalog!
By the way, does anyone know when they will be back up and running???

Yeah I too have wondered if it's a Canadian thing b/c we've never been really "big" into easter........
I still love those stamps tho - they're just too cute!
The spring stamps are cute, but I celebrate Easter because Christ died and was resurrected for our sins. I was disappointed that there is not a selection of faith based holiday stamps like she had for Christmas (city of David and angels). I will have to wait until the next release to get more Elzy's.

I had to go look at the new line. I think the chick stamps are cute, even though several of them are actually ducklings (webbed feet). Baby ducks aren't really called "chicks", but they're still adorable!
I was just disappointed that there was nothing BUT chicks! What about some cute rabbits or sheep or ducks... even a puppy? Spring is more than chicks, folks!

Well, I'm not Canadian and don't really *do* Easter cards....and don't get them in the mail from anyone either. Course, that doesn't mean I don't make them ;) ...come to think of it, I made Halloween cards too, and have never once, sent one or gotten one....hmmmm.

It's great to know which images you like best from the UK catalog. Maybe you'll see some of them in future ElzybellsNA releases.
