I can't believe the number of backorders I've been getting lately.
I'm not a demo....but my last three orders have had backorders.
Aquapainter since July...still waiting. An order from two weeks ago....I'm waiting on a jumbo wheel from the winter mini. And of all things an Embossing buddy?!?!
I had my own party this past week (DH won quite a bit at the casino and shared with me...yeah!) and three items are on backorder. Cheery Chat, In Full Bloom and a jumbo ink cartridge...empty.
Is it just what I'm ordering or are most of you having problems with backorders lately?
Unfortunately we are all having backorders (mine are on metal rimmed tags, jumbo ink cartridge & wheel, etc, etc).
SU! is moving their warehouse to a new facility and thus is causing some of the delays. They are working through this and are putting in extra hours to try to get caught up on the shipping of items. Some items are also out of stock already due to high demand for them (ie: aqua painters).
I have been getting a steady flow of my backordered items in my mail. I am sure they will soon get caught up and get more in stock. This just shows what a great company SU! is because so many orders are being placed for their great products!!

YES.... lots on backorder, but they are doing the best they can to get caught up. They are working overtime. My Cherry Chat came today via USPS, and Loads of Love.
I know they are trying to catch up as fast as they can. I called Demonstrator Support yesterday and they said they were still working on orders from Sept. 13 and trying desperately to catch up. I think they way underestimated the demand for products from the new catty and the holiday catty.
Try and be patient - (believe me, I know it's hard) - but they're on the way!
Just a heads up-while the Aqua Painters are VERY backordered, once they get it straightened out I am sure things will go smoothly. The AquaPainters are not made by SU, they are imported from Japan. I am sure this is what has added to the delay.
On an up note-all my backorders have been filled!!! And at a meeting at my upline's almost all the products (with the exception of the APers) were on their way-even if they had been backordered.
My "backorders" have come in within 3 weeks of placing the original order-pretty good considering some home companies take a minimum of a month to get anything to me-I think I am spoiled so waiting longer than 10 days seems like forever!! LO
For those of you not demos, they have also moved facilities to be in a larger location, so sometimes things are being picked from 2 different locations. The bottom line is it will all come in-but it's hard to be patient!

My Crafter's Tool Kit and a customer's watercolor pencils were ordered on Aug. 31. Neither of them are here yet. That's 3 weeks. It is very frustrating that things are so behind. I know why, but as a demo, I find it hard to reassure my customers ... and hard to recommend things like the aquapainters because of the wait and the uncertainty.
I too have been frustrated with backorders but now I am frustrated with the long shipping delay. I have orders I placed with SU on 9-15 and it is not even in picking yet. Very frustrating. I think it was a bad time to move the distribution center around the release of the new SU catalog. It does go to show that SU is a busy company with growing pains. They are the best in the business but I also find it hard to explain to my customers.
Don't worry ladies! Once SU is moved into its new shipping home, everything will all be new and improved. All you'll talk about is how awesome they are with those new packing slips that are coming! WOOHOOO!
Oh and really, tell me when a good time to move would be! We'd all be as impatient as we are now! At least they should be set for the Holiday season!
I ordered the Aqua Painters early this month and just recieved an email earlier this week saying my order has been completely shipped, so they are moving faster than it seems. It had been projected to ship in October.
I ordered my AquaPainters at the end of July and got them today! I'm so excited. I've also gotten everything else that was backordered except my White Craft Pad. I thought that was kind of strange since they are hardly a new product. Oh well.
Be as patient as you can. They haven't forgotten about you.
I find it strange that so much from the Holiday mini is on backorder. The customer order period just started September 1st. My Aqua Painters are still on B/O too & I ordered them in August. So are they still shipping them out of order? I'm sure once the move is done, things will be fantastic.
I have sold so many of these and they are on backorder along with the product outlined in above posts - I have three workshops that have yet to ship. Very, very frustrating.
I know, Lana, like you said, that things will be better. I take comfort knowing about the much talked-about packing slips individualized (can someone stop me from saying yippie skippie!!?)

I am wondering how you managed to receive your Aquapainters so soon? I am still waiting for 14 sets of them ordered in July and the first week of August. I was told so many times that they were shipping and even as recently as yesterday, that they are still not even picking my first ones yet, ordered 7/31. ALthough the website stated that they would be shipping out the week of 9/16.
I did finally get connected to a Manager at the DS hotline, and was told that they have not had many complaints about the backorders and shipping times and made me feel like I was the only one upset. I guess it would not be so bad if I didn't keep finding out others are getting their merchandise ordered much later than mine.

I know I'm waiting for mesh, mulberry paper and I finally got my Simple Sketches yesterday. I would think when they put something on sale they would be prepared for a highter demand of it.
Wow glad to know it's just not what I've been ordering. My backordered items are starting to come in...received In Full Bloom yesterday. Love that set!
Today I picked up my jumbo wheel from the mini-catty and my embossing buddy. Yeah!
Still waiting on my AP that was ordered back in July shortly after the catty came out. It will get here when it gets here.
Also waiting on the Cheery Chat and a empty jumbo cartridge.
Things have been a bit slow on shipping. (or maybe I am just being a bit impatient!!!) Today I received my jumbo wheel from the mini and my copper cord.

I guess we are all just griping and complaining here where we can all commiserate with each other I guess we just need to have a little patience and like Lana said, before we know it, we'll all be whoohooing how great things are.

I got 5 packages from UPS today - but I also wanted to remind you all that packages got delayed in the southeast due to hurricane Ivan! He stopped everything down here, and we weren't in the direct path. My guy in brown is trying very hard to get me all my boxes! Back orders are a problem - then add a hurrican on top of it !!!
I have been waiting since the 1st part of August for my Aqua Painters. They must be being shipped out of order. I noticed someone that recieved them way after I ordered mine. I hope they come soon!! I did want to use them at my Christmas stamp camp in October!
I've been telling customers that the aqua painters won't be here for months, and they're still ordering them! What can you say; they're so much fun to play with!
To make it a little easier to wait, I've been putting a drawing slip for every back-ordered item into a pot, and will draw once a month for a free stamp set (from my stash). Most of my customers aren't in a tearing hurry for their stuff, and this should be fun.
well my July 30 AP's still are not even in picking- Is it possible they've over-looked them? I don't get how some are getting theirs that were ordered later than that-
